OK, now that im all into sizers... what about my background?

OK, as i said, im all up and happy with sizers, but a minor problem crept up. how do i make sure the background of my program is not the grayish thing, and yet let me have sizers on it? I cant lay a wxPanel down then put in a sizer can I? (ok i think we cant igot a nice segfault trying to do that) a...

when you say a dialog, do you mean the message dialog control from the widgets list on the right of wxdev-cpp? if so... assuming you call it "mydialog", the code fragment to call that will be: mydialog->ShowModal(); put that snippet into a function that is triggered by your menu event and all should...

by the looks of that you seem to be cloning ur current window... ur calling a constructor of the current window... whyd you want to do that? lol

wxFrame doesnt have a member function called ShowModal(), wxDialog does.
