Show and Hide wxSmith Frames help.

I have a practice app I am making that when you click the button it opens a new frame. I want to hide the main frame when the new frame opens then when I close the new frame I want the main frame to reappear. Is this possible? I used this void MultipleFramesFrame::OnButton3Click(wxCommandEvent& even...

Re: Help with wxImagePanel.

You are losing me here. What you need is very simple, you need one .cpp file and one .h file for the custom control. The problem about using wxSmith is that wxSmith will only know wxWidgets built-in controls by default (it looks like you somehow told it you want to use 'wxImagePanel' but it thinks ...

Re: Help with wxImagePanel.

Sorry I mean it is code blocks but I am using wxSmith for the visual designer. I hope this is not too much but I broke it all down here. In the first image of the project I dragged the control out on the panel already. MyFiles.jpg in ImagePanelApp.cpp the code after adding wxImagePanel control is. /...

Re: Help with wxImagePanel.

imagepanel.h is not part of wxWidgets, it is a file in your own project, so you need #include "image_panel.h" instead of #include <wx/wximagepanel.h> Yes I realise the file is missing. I am using wxSmith here and I have created the test application which has a visual editor so in order to simplify ...

Re: Help with wxImagePanel.

http://wiki.wxwidgets.org/An_image_panel Yep I am looking at that now and trying to figure out what I need to do with is. Do I need to make a new header file named wxImagePanel and add some part of that code to it? image_panel.h #include <wx/wx.h> #include <wx/sizer.h> class wxImagePanel : public w...

Help with wxImagePanel.

Hello I need some help with this. I am still using code blocks for now. I have a control I drag out on a panel called wxImagePanel but I can not find any way to get it to compile or function. I just want to load an image in to it for now so I can learn how to use it. When I double click the wxImageP...

Re: Get First Key wxRegKey Error

If you want to write into the "update" path, you probably have to start with that key from the beginning: wxRegKey* pRegKey = new wxRegKey(_T("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Google\\Update")); That would seem to make sense but the problem is when I do that it will not show me any text disa...

Re: Get First Key wxRegKey Error

Can you tell me how to work around this here is my code. wxRegKey* pRegKey = new wxRegKey(_T("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SO...

Re: Get First Key wxRegKey Error

Re: Get First Key wxRegKey Error

I can write the key and I can delete the key and I can get the keys value but I cannot get the last one to do anything. How come it works with other keys but not this key? All the other functions work fine on the google key though.

Is this solved or does anyone know why it will not read that key?

Re: Get First Key wxRegKey Error

wxRegKey key(wxRegKey::HKLM, (wxT("SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Google\\Update"))); Did you check if this key exists on your system? On mine it doesn't. How about the Microsoft key i used in my sample code? Well this is odd the whole thing works fine when I change the key but that key does exsist I added it...

Re: Get First Key wxRegKey Error

If you create a new key yourself, there are no subkeys. Is there something wrong with GetKeyInfo? If you use an existing path, you should get something: wxRegKey key(wxRegKey::HKLM, "Software\\Microsoft"); key.Open(); // Get the number of subkeys and enumerate them. size_t subkeys; key.GetKeyInfo(&...

Re: Get First Key wxRegKey Error

Ok I tried both of these versions of code on different buttons and neither will pop up the second messagebox that should tell the subkey. void RegistryFrame::OnButton4Click(wxCommandEvent& event) { // This assume that the key already exists, use HasSubKey() to check // for the key existence if neces...
