Yes, in effect, the wxLogWindow::GetFrame return a frame whitch embed a wxTextCtrl to display the log. As the wxLogFrame class is private (only for implementation), you can list all children of the wxLogWindow's frame to find it. When you have a pointer to the wxTextCtrl, you just have to work with ...

From the wxLogWindow, you can retrieve the wxFrame associated with it and probably retrieve the control displaying the log.

A basic way is to pass the param number just before the ... argument with an integer parameter. int aFunction(int aParam, int anotherParam, unsigned nbExtraParam, ...) This way allow you not to pass a null value at the end of extra parameters. But without this, INMO, you cant predict the number of e...

As sizers seem to use the "best fitting size" to place windows, you can set it with wxWindow::SetBestFittingSize [1] when you want to modify it (when you load a bitmap ?).

When you derive from wx[...]Input/outputStream, you must overide OnSysRead and OnSysWrite. OnSysTell and OnSysSeek do nothing by default.
Note that IsSeekable() returns false by default.

On this subject, in the wxInternetFSHandler code, after the wxURL::GetInputStream() invocation, wx creates a temp file where the net file is downloaded and a wxTemporaryFileInputStream is created to return the stream.

Why use a such system and why do not return the wxURL's InputStream directly ?

As all MenuItem or ToolbarItem, you can disable (or check or other) a menu item with a wxUpdateUIEvent [1].

It is the same as http://forums.wxwidgets.org/viewtopic.php?t=8594
(first accepted answer).

In theory, there is no time limit to TCP connection. But in practice, a tcp connection of 50 minutes, it is very very very long. You may have been disconnected by the peer. Do you really need a such long connection ? Is your connection is realy active all this time ? Could you reconnect regullary wh...

You can easily compute a window size with wxDC. You just have to * get the window client size with wxWindow::GetClientSize [1]. * get a client DC for the windows. * change the DC map mode with wxDC::SetMapMode [2]. * retrieve the wanted value with wxCoord DeviceToLogicalXRel [3]. If you want a measu...

Ok so if you want to pass all events to your MyDB object, you must derive it from wxEvtHandler [1]. IMHO, it is not a problem to derive MyDB from SAConnection an wxEvtHandler. So, as all wxEvtHandler-based class, you can declare and implement an event table via DECLARE_EVENT_TABLE() and BEGIN/END_EV...

In fact, I'm not sure I undertand you.

Do you want to pass (transmit) all events all events to your MyDB object in order to handle them by MyDB object ?
