OpenGL canvas behavior on MACOSX 10.6/cocoa 64bit

Greetings, I meant to do a cross-post on this topic. I'm not sure it is necessarily a development platform issue or a coding issue. :-] I am in the midst of porting my Win32-based app to MAC OSX 10.6.x. There are a couple of glitches that I need to track down. The app uses a canvas with OpenGL conte...

OpenGL canvas behavior with 2.9.1, OSX 10.6/cocoa 64bit

Greetings, I am in the midst of porting my Win32-based app to MAC OSX 10.6.x. There are a couple of glitches that I need to track down. The app uses a canvas with OpenGL context. The viewport is now shifted by a few pixels that appear to be equivalent to the 3D boarder width around the canvas. To be...

Well, the problem was a couple missing macro defs required by OpenSceneGraph 2.8.3. For those few users that are integrating wxWindows with OpenSceneGraph for MACOSX/10.6.x, at least apps will run albeit much more testing to do: <snip> GCC_PREPROCESSOR_DEFINITIONS = __WXOSX_COCOA__ WX_PRECOMP _FILE_...

Xcode 3.2 MACOSX cocoa x86_64 bit link warnings

Greetings, I building apps with Xcode 3.2/ OSX-10.6.5 and I get thousands (~8,000) of linker warnings as shown below. Note that it references static builds, as shown in the warnings. Would anyone have any insight as to how to 'supress' these, or perhaps their origin? thanks, Ted <snip> . . . ld: war...

yeah, I understand where you are coming from but the Xcode project type is *supposed* to be linking with stdc++. I should mention that I am also referencing cocoa x86_64 OpenSceneGraph 2.8.3 compiled frameworks (and I see in the source that those libraries also reference std::basic io calls). Time t...

help with Xcode 3.2 link-- unresolved std::basic_i/ostream

Greetings, I have been using Xcode 3.2 IDE on MAC OSX (10.6.5/gcc 4.2) to re-compile an app which works fine on WinXP and Win7. I compiled static libs of wx 2.9.1 with x86_64bit/cocoa, working off config option examples provided on wxwidgets.org. The sample programs build and run so I then based the...

I'm replying to my own post. The answer is I needed to pass the variables through

::TransferDataFromWindow()
::TransferDataToWindow()

though I'm still not entirely clear what governs this requirement...

problems with wxGenericValidator under a wxCollapsiblePane

Greetings, I can't seem to push data back and forth quite right when the widgets are under a wxCollapsiblePane using the wxGenericValidator built-in. Can someone point me to the appropriate way to use wxGenericValidator under these circumstances? Or will I have to utilize event callbacks? thanks in ...

I found the problem and it was a silly mistake -- interestingly the m_logText wasn't even declared (!). I was compiling the code for debug. The fact that the code ran at all was amazingly odd. How could it find that variable name in the symbol table? Something I must not have set correctly with MSVS...

OK, m_canvas is an OpenGL canvas (rendered with OpenSceneGraph 2.8.3-stable). m_playback is a wxPanel with various standard widgets in them. Mouse interactions work normally in those widgets; they are wired with typical mouse button/scroll-wheel events. I'd be glad to attach more complete code files...

including wx/msw/rcdefs.h

Greetings, I've been trying to rebuild my code on a Win7 Home Premium x64 under VS9. Everything compiles fine but my *.rc file can't seem to find the includes/wx path. The compiler doesn't have any problem with the C++ code. The root path is in the resource/General properties. Actually, I know it's ...

wxTextCtrl Scrollbars isn't handled by mouse

Greetings, Excuse my ignorance here but I just dropped in a wxTextCtrl widget in my main window as shown below. Everything renders just fine but for some reason, I can't select and drag the scroll bars. Any ideas? thanks, Ted wxBoxSizer *bs=new wxBoxSizer(wxVERTICAL); bs->Add(m_canvas,1,wxEXPAND); b...

OK, that fixed it thanks! -- I'm still getting used to MSVS, the compilation error statements are a bit misleading.
