Re: How to change z-order of wxTextCtrl?

Hi, First of all the term "z-order" is not applicable here. The proper term is TAB-order. Second - when you press TAB key the focus is moving from the control you created first to the second, third, etc. I.e.: wxTextCtrl *text1 = new wxTextCtrl(); wxTextCtrl *text2 = new wxTextCtrl(); wxTextCtrl *te...

Re: How to change z-order of wxTextCtrl?

Hi,
I would be curious to know how those text controls and labels were created?
Can you post such code?

Thank you.

Can't you derive from wxGridRowHeaderRenderer and draw row headers without a border or background?
Interesting idea. Will try to build grid sample to see how it will look like.

Thank you.

Re: Any library as small as wxWidgets but as powerful as Qt?

Hi,
On top of what doublemax said - Qt is not native, especially on Windows and Mac. wxWidgets is.

And you can customize the buld of wxWidgets by creating very small library - on Windows just edit setup.h and on *nix/Mac just turn off unneeded options.

Thank you.

Re: Hang in IMPLEMENT_APP() Macro

Hi,
Do you have a backtrace from the gdb at the time of the crash?

Also, what is your exact GTK+ version that you build wxWidgets against?

Thank you.

Hi,

If not - can you run the sample under the debugger?

Thank you.

Re: using wxWidgets in library

Hi, Hi, does anyone have any idea please? I need to solve this, but I really don't know how. I'm unfortunately out of ideas. Maybe someone else chime in? I have few more questions. 1) How "wx objects" are freed? MyDialog* dlg = new MyDialog(); // wxDialog dlg->ShowModal(); I didn't see "delete" in a...

Re: How to create such a layout?

doublemax, I fear those labels will not be aligned to the grid rows, since wxGrid paints itself with wx and the labels are produced as OS-natives. Yes, that's a problem. But as wxGrid is a generic control, wxGrid::GetRowSize() should tell you how far the labels must be apart. You'd have to use absol...

I can try to see whether it will work or not...

How to create such a layout?

Hi,
Attached is a screenshot from the MS Access.
What would be the way to create a layout that I marked with RED? Please forgive my ugly painting technique...

Basically it's a grid without row labels and instead some static text on the left side.

Thank you for any pointers.

Hi,
Its not a mistake but it is an obsolete option as it is on by default.

Hi,
Which version of Windows this is?
Can you build the widgets or layout sample and see whether they work for you?

Thank you.

Re: How to build standalone wxWidgets application

Hi, Are you trying to build an old project? Yes you shuold get rid of the libraries referenced by doublemax - they are not part of wxWidgets since version 3.0. For "qa" library please check the build directory and find the appropriate file name. Or you can just get rid of it - its not specifically r...

Re: How to build standalone wxWidgets application

Hi, You need to rebuild the library and the project the third time. ;-) Use following command: C:\MinGW\bin\mingw32-make -f makefile.gcc -j4 BUILD=debug MONOLITHIC=0 RUNTIME_LIBS=static SHARED=0 First, the latest wxWidgets release will default the build to a "UNICODE", so you don't have to specify i...

Re: wxwidget not installing properly

Hi,
Also as a suggestion - tsake out "MONOLITHIC = 1".
While still supported, it may (or may not) give issues in the future.

Thank you.
