Re: Another 3.0 upgrade inconsistency [SOLVED]

Manolo,
After consulting with our management, it looks like we can live with just read-only text.
It is weird however, that thhis situation occurs on the upgrade and didn't happen before.

I might send the e-mail to wx-dev/wx-users ML to check...

Thank you.

Re: wxTimer m_Time cause crash

Hi,
Does it give you an assert or the hard crash?
Can you trace the code - even in Release build you can do some debugging?

Thank you.

Re: the repaint vanishes...

Hi,
For all future references - creating wxPaintDC is required inside EVT_PAINT() handler even if you don't use it at all.
I believe it is even stated somewhere in the docs.

Thank you.

Re: Sql code is not working correctly

Hi,
Yes, it might be a solution, if the nuimber of updates is manageable.
However, if the number of records is around 100, it is much better to do that in a lop.

Thank you.

Re: Another 3.0 upgrade inconsistency [SOLVED]

Hi, Manolo,
Readonly text can be selected and later on copied to somewhere. Also it can acquire focus.
Disabled one cannot.

Thank you.

Re: Sql code is not working correctly

Hi,
I order to do that you need to create more code as it wil be easier in C++ than going SQL route.
Just do a loop increasing the value and then do the update inside the loop.

Will be much easier than trying to poke around with SQL.

Thank you.

Another 3.0 upgrade inconsistency [SOLVED]

Hi, ALL, Looks like I found another upgrade inconsistency: wxTextCtrl *text = new wxTextCtrl( parent, wxID_ANY, "Huge text that should be split between mutiple lines", wxDefaultPosition, wxDefaultSize, wxTE_MULTILINE | wxTE_READONLY ); text->Enable( false ); The text is displayed with the ...

Re: wxwidgets app compiled on Deepin OS not working???

Hi, Hi all, This is a strange one. I have coded a small wxwidgets app that displays png files on an image panel. When I compile it on Ubuntu 18.04 it works perfectly - If I copy the same source-code folder over to deepin-15.8 and run the program it works perfectly. This is not a reliable test - you ...

Re: Sql code is not working correctly

Hi, This has nothing to do with the wxWidgets. The very first question you should ask - what do you expect to see after executing the query against the DB. Second write the data that is currently in the table/DB and write the data that you want to have. Perform the transition on the paper. Write the...

Re: Inconsistent handling of textlabel background color in 3.0

HI, To answer your question: wxWidgets is known to be a native library. It means that it will use a native control implementation whenever possible. So if *nix/GTK does not support something wxWidgets can't do anything. You have a choice of either use generic control, as doublemax suggested, or leav...

Re: App built with static lib needs dlls (windows 7)

Hi, An option "--enable-debug" is, always was and always will be an indication of the debug build of the library, i.e. the resulting dll/so/dylib/a files will contain symbols. The only difference is that on Windows you are linking on the different CRTs with debug vs release (at least with ...

Re: [wxMSW][wx3.0.3] How to prevent editing some cells of a wxDataViewListCtrl

Hi,

EVT_DATAVIEW_ITEM_START_EDITING(id, func):
Process a wxEVT_DATAVIEW_ITEM_START_EDITING event. This event can be vetoed in order to prevent editing on an item by item basis.

Sometimes it is useful to check documentation... ;-)

Re: wxThread Kill()

Hi,
Keep in mind though that everything Natu said is the basic C++ and have nothing to do with wxWidgets.
And if you dont understand all this - I suggest to go back to school and learn.

Thank you.
