Re: CMake Release Build On Windows 10 Code Redefinition

Hi, Is it possible you ae linking the library twice? What command producing such error? You should probably start verbose build to see the log on the screen... And what commands is executing for the building that library where you have issues? Also, are you able to run the program in Debug mode? Is ...

Re: wxStyledTextCtrl (Scintilla) - Right To Left not working on macOS [SOLVED]

Hi,
wxSTC is just a wrapper around Scintilla API.
So if there is no RTL support for Scintilla on OSX then it won't work for wxSTC.

Yes, you can try wxRTC on Mac and see if it helps.

Thank you.

Re: wxStyledTextCtrl (Scintilla) - Right To Left not working on macOS [SOLVED]

Hi, Hi, What locale do you have on you Mac? I test by English Local, and Arabic Local (RTL Language), but the result is the same. If you need an RTL text, you should test under Arabic locale. Did you install any special fonts that should be used to display text? No, i'm using the default installed f...

Re: How to build only one part of wxWidgets ? [SOLVED]

Hi, Yes, I understand that. But C++ is very powerful language. It taqkes time and experience to fully grasp the concept of it. The wxWidgets library is written in C++ a long time ago and internally it uses the paradigms that is old. When you start writing the program using standard (or default) wxWi...

Re: How to build only one part of wxWidgets ? [SOLVED]

Hi, The core team is currently using TravisCI for automatic build and test process of the new features. You don't need to remove anything - just "make" will re-build only the stuff you changed. P.S.: Seeing that you are asking such a basic question I think you need to have more experience ...

Re: How to build only one part of wxWidgets ? [SOLVED]

Hi, The question I would ask is - why do you need this? As long as you don't work on the embedded platform you should build the whole library with the default settings, especially if you will do development. You will never know what class you will need now or in the future. The current linkers are s...

Re: How to create a configure script?

Hi,
Using CMake for building the library itself is still unofficial way. Official (and supported) way is to use "configure + make".
I'd definitely prefer to use IDE - Anjuta comes to mind for *nix. It will generate everything for you.

Thank you.

Re: How to know the app is activate or idle by wxWidgets inerface

Hi, There is no way to know if the application is active or IDLE. The event you are looking at is fired when the application is switched to be the upfront one (either when started or when switched to by ALT+TAB). Basically you should be just sending the heartbeat all the time during the application ...
