Recompile the wx library with gl support turned on and use the .lib.file it produced.

This can be tricky, but there are a number of guides and tutorials on this.

If you want to use a feature of a specific platform not present in wx, you can simply do a: #ifdef YOUR_PLATFORM // your platform's code #elseifdef ANOTHER_PLATFORM // another platform's code #else // general wx implementation #endif Depending on how important this speciffic feature is to you, this ...

Because it will work on all supported platforms.

Yes, the titlebar will only be smaller on MSW and GTK, but it will still WORK AS INTENDED on all platforms. Also you didn't mention wich platform you were developing for.

Why not just open up a small dialog (wxMiniFrame) at the position of the mouse pointer?

I think the easiest way would be to create a new wx project and just add your old source code files to it.

You shouldn't need to hack the event loop. On windows, you have access to the handle of your window. Is'nt that enough to write windows-speciffic code in your window-class? I gladly admit I din't know any windows programming of directX, but I know his has been done before. Depending you your project...

SDL is not event based. I does take care of the events for it's own windows, but only for internal usage.

This is how I handle my 3d viewport rotation. Camera.Orbit(float x, float y) implements the rotation itself, depending on the desired rotation model. void cViewPort::OnMouse(wxMouseEvent& event){ static int MouseLastX = 0; static int MouseLastY = 0; if(event.Dragging()){ const float OrbitRate = 3.5;...

The compiler (with the Borland C++ Builder IDE) tells me sporadically that the 'structure packing size' has changed in a header file associated with the standard distribution. This sounds to me like your version of the STL or wx headers have changed since you compiled the libraries. Or maby you use...

if I want to develop a commercial tool, based on MySQL and this tool uses MySQL as a primary database server (MySQL is the main feature of this software), I must pay the license fee. I don't think there is a problem. The GPL-ed parts of MySQL is the software itself, not the interface . If you write an application that can connect to a MySQL server, you don't have to release it under any speciffic lisence. It simply doesn't make sense. I asume that wxMySQL is merely another inter...

Is it the commented line at the end, //m_plot->Add(new MyPlotCurve(0, 600, 600)); that seems to be the problem? My guess is that the height of your visible area in the curve is zero (600-600), might cause the MyPlotCurve class to crash. Could you try with ome more sensible values, like 0,0,600 ? Als...
