OK, I found this but of info that solved the problem These a global CRT variables. __HUGE is used when you use floating point math. These global variables are replaced by functions when you compile with /MD. __HUGE turns into __HUGE_dll for example. Seeing those linker errors can only be explained i...

wxSplitterWindow

I am trying to create a splitter window and am getting a ton of linker errors that all reference a function "Gdiplus" wxmsw28d.lib(monolib_renderer.obj)||error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol [email protected] referenced in function "public: void __thiscall Gdiplus::Graphics::ReleaseHDC(struct HD...

Put a breakpoint into paint event and you'll see if it's called or not. I actually put a wxMessageBox() call in my OnPaint() handler and it never came up. Just to be sure, I set a breakpoint and nothing. Rather than painting directly on the frame, I'd recommend adding a panel to the frame, then add...

Re: Problem with Paint Handler

Connect(wxEVT_PAINT, wxPaintEventHandler(CHomeFrame::OnPaint) ); I added an ID to the handler Connect(IDP_HOMEDATA, wxEVT_PAINT, wxPaintEventHandler(CHomeFrame::OnPaint) ); And that got rid of the background issues, but the text is not being displayed, and I think the OnPaint function is not being ...

What else am I missing?

Problem with Paint Handler

I have a wxFrame that has several controls on it including a wxPanel (m_pHomeDataPanel). In my OnPaint function I want to draw some text to the panel but when I do this all the controls on the wxFrame blank out to the color of the wxPanel's background color, and when I close the app it does nothing ...

wxString str; // <---- this variable is never used Wow, never noticed that! I also noticed you implicitely passed srings literals to wxStrings so if you expect to need Unicode support before wxWidgets 3.0 (or 2.9 if you're willing to use unstable versions), surround you literals with wxT() Never re...

so here is my (first) finished app. Code is attached. If anyone cares to review of critic it, see if there are any errors I missed or perhaps a better / more efficient way of doing something, I would appreciate it. Thanks for the help! #include <wx/wx.h> #include <wx/clrpicker.h> class CApp : public...

Argh! Darn newbie mistakes!

Still, that did not have any effect at all on the problem.... Still doing the same thing.

OK, Makes sense now.... On a related note, I am doing something different with it now. Instead of typing in an RGB value and displaying the color, I am using a wxColourPickerCtrl to let the user select a color and then display the value as well as change the background color of a panel to reflect th...

I did try that and it did not work... in fact, after I added that style (I added it to all 3 text controls and the button) I could no longer enter values into the text boxes and clicking the button would not do anything?!?

first program

I am working on a simple app that has 3 wxTextCtrl's that allows the user to enter an RBG value and display the color. I want to be able to tab between the controls but I have not been able to find any information on this. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I will post the code I have so if...
