Re: Print Command Output preserving special

Thanks for the link. Very useful indeed.
I will have to tackle the two first, one bit at a time. I'll see where I will end

Re: Print Command Output preserving special

As for the non-ascii characters, wxWidgets can display them, the problem is probably the character encoding of the console output. Once you know that (which is probably platform dependent) it should be easy to convert it to Unicode. Knowing encoding I think might be one of most difficult for me. I ...

Print Command Output preserving special

Does wxWidgets have any widget that can take command output from wxExecute and display it preserving non ASCII characters (like √) and color? I need to print output of command and it prints different colors for different message. I just don't have enough time to make yet another virtual terminal emu...

Re: Unicode Madness

IIRC, wxHTTP is not able to send https, so unfortunately this is no option for me. You are right. There was this PR to add https but was never merged and don't know why. Thanks for that. Even though I dont understand why the formatting of your function works, this does produce the right string form...

I use the chilkat CkHttp class to send a https POST to PHP REST server. The body of my POST holds data, which is a json string. Example

Code: Select all

{
	"username":"Jürgen"
}
What happens if you send using wxHttp and libcurl?

Hey I got it working but now I need to take the input and use it to change the step size.
use wxTextCtrl::GetValue() to get string value and use wxAtoi() to change it to integer

Re: Displaying a wxDialog from a FORTRAN program

I believe the best you can do is Interprocess Communication
Make two running separately but talking to each other. Using sockets to send results from Fortran is easier than trying to embed wxWidgets somehow
This assumes Fortran have actually sockets. Comment from someone that knows zero about fortran

Re: Change WxPropertyGrid based on button click

I will be adding more properties after but for now just trying to get the colour part to work. Appending change it to include unique name pg = grid->Append(new wxColourProperty(wxT("Label Colour"),"unique-name-here", wxColour(242, 109, 0))); Then try this code for event. Untested but according to d...

Re: Change WxPropertyGrid based on button click

Looking at your code, why do you even use wxPropertyGrid? You have only one property that need to change color.
Have you checked wxColorPickerCtrl?

wxPGProperty* pg = grid->Append(new wxColourProperty(wxT("Label Colour"),wxPG_LABEL, wxColour(242, 109, 0))); grid->ChangePropertyValue(pg,new wxColourProperty(wxT("Label Colour"), wxPG_LABEL, wxColour(*wxBLACK))); if I just want to change the colour property can I do it using the change property v...

Re: Change WxPropertyGrid based on button click

You will need to read this first In your case you will need to catch relevant event . To understand which item was clicked you will need to catch event of interest and use the unique names to differentiate items //add the property in the grid m_editorGeneralProps->Append(new wxPropertyCategory(_("La...

Re: wxExplorerBrowser

I do not think it can be extended, it is just a wrapper for a native windows control. In fact, I do not plan to do anything with it. As I could not make filtering work in the folders which are part of Windows Libraries, I abandoned the project about 1.5 years ago and it has been rotting on my disk ...

That's very useful. Sorry for my ignorance!
Do you plan to extend it beyond Windows?
