Using wxSVG in Ubuntu 8.10

Hello, I try to use wxSVG in an wxWidgets Application, just to play around with the component. I am using CodeBlocks and wxSVG from the Ubuntu repositories (64 Bit version). First I tried the sample code from the wxSVG homepage. There was no header file mentioned, and after some experiments, I used ...

@t.rokohl:

The one from upCASE, but I will try yours too :wink:

Which libraries do you include in your project? The big one (wxmsw250d.lib) or the vc_libs? If you use the vc_libs, can you please tell me, which ones?

Greetings,

Joerg

It works, but...

Finally I've got this program to work, but not in the way that I expected... I have simply used the wxmsw250d.lib from the \lib directory rather than the wxbase25.lib wxjpeg.lib ... from the \lib\vc_lib\ directory. But isn't it the recommended way to use only the necessary libs / dlls to keep the pr...

But you know, in these days you have to buy christmas presents and if you work in a company like ours you have only a little spare time ;-) I have tried to compile the program, but now I get numerous linke...

Hello wxWidgets gurus, after searching around for a while I finally found an example how to write a wxWidgets dll and use it from a standard windows application. This example is "fromdll", but I am not able to get this project to work. I am using Visual Studio .NET 2003 and wxWidgets 2.5.3. After lo...

@gururamnath:

Thank you very much for wxDev-Cpp. I am glad to hear that you will continue your work at the project.

I have posted some of my thoughts of the ultimate cross-platform-IDE in the IDE-related forum.

Hm, yes, I would like to be a beta tester ;-)

Thoughts about a cross-platform IDE written in wxWidgets...

There are a lot of very good free IDE's around, Dev-Cpp, MinGW-Developer Studio, Eclipse, BCBX Personal Edition... But they all have a big drawback: Dev-Cpp is available only for Windows. By the way, thanks to gururamnath for implementing a RAD-design tool for wxwidgets! Dev-Cpp is written in Delphi...

Borland C++ BuilderX

Hello,

are there any news about the future of CBX? Is there still some effort in further integration of wxwidgets in forthcoming versions?
