I am also trying to use wxAutomation with excel and everything works except the SaveAs method. Like SamSam598, no file gets created.

Does anyone have any thoughts. ta

I have been writing an windows application that uses wxGetUserID, however I have now had to convert the application to run as a service. wxGetUserID always returns "SYSTEM" as the user name. Thanks for the added advice, I didn't have a problem using SPI. When running the application on both a vista and XP machines the wallpaper changed immediately.

This is a Win32 application only so that doesn't matter and you are a star, it works! Cheers

Anyone know how to change Windows Wallpaper

I'm trying to add a feature to an application I'm writing that will change the background picture of the windowsXP desktop. Anyone got any ideas how I can do that - Please?
