Changing wxThread priority on the fly

Hello again, I'm making an application which gonna require very time consuming tasks... so I show a progress dialog with the typical progress bar, info text... and also a combo box which allows the user to change the thread priority. The question is... how can I change on the fly a wxThread's priori...

It's curious... If I use wxWidgets dynamically linked my problems go away. Perhaps I cannot use a statically-linked wxWidgets library in my DLL application.,..

Using wxWidgets inside a DLL

Hello, I'm trying to use a wxWidgets modal dialog to configure my Photoshop plugin. So, my application is really a .DLL which is loaded dynamically by Photoshop. I'm using wxWidgets as a static library to avoid having to deploy a lot of DLLs togetehr with my plugin. The idea is to show a wxDialog wi...

libz dll

Hiya, I did a small wxWidgets app for macosx using Xcode 3.1 and macosx 10.5.2 linking statically all that I could. All was fine... until I executed the app in macosx tiger 10.4.2. For some strange reason the libz dylib seems not to be present in usr/lib ... so the app fails to run immediatly. any i...

context menus

Hello,

I'm new to wxWidgets. I come from .NET/WinForms and MFC. Does wxWidgets include a "context menu" control? I need a control that exposes a menu when the user right-clicks over the active control.... but I cannot see any wxContextMenu or similar class.

thx

Are you saying the path must be a string constant? Correct. I tried to set an environment variable when I start the application... $MYAPPDIR/UI/OpenFile.png, but the problem is that Windows cannot accept $MYAPPDIR as env var(should be %MYAPPDIR%)... If the wxBitmap could accept a relative-to-applic...

thanks, JimFairway.
Well, currently I'm asking about the relative paths because I'm using a 3rd party program to generate the dialogs and I can only specify a raw file path... without any possibility of specifying a code portion.

wxBitmap load from file relative path

Hello, i'm new to wxWidgets and to the forum! I have a very simple question... when I load a bitmap from a file using, for example, wxBitmap bmp("UI/OpenFile.png"); ... wxWidgets would load the image relative to the application's folder or relative to the current folder? Well... I think if the answe...
