Just an update, I switched to VB.net and was able to get the program running perfectly in a fraction of the time it took me on wxDevC++. So, Problem solved, I suppose.

Multithread issues.

Hello, I am having some issues with a multithreaded program I wrote. Apologies for the length of this post. Initially, I had written a program to send a user-defined number of ICMP requests of a user-defined size for testing of equipment. On a basic level, it worked. You enter the IP address, number...

Simple question: Ping/ICMP

I need to write a simple program to send ICMP requests of a specified size to a specified IP address.

Does the wxSocketBase class, or any other class, have an ICMP-type function?

If not, how can I use wxSockets to send such a request?

Much appreciated.

Re: wx the same as c?

#ifdef __BORLANDC__ //only for borland compilers #pragma hdrstop //perorm this pragma (compiler command) #endif //end Borland block #ifndef WX_PRECOMP //if no precompiled headers supported #include <wx/wx.h> //include the wx "master" include file #endif I always wondered, does this mean that WX won...

I agree, Shaba, there are a lot of very helpful people here. I don't post much but I do read many of the posts and responses here and they are extremely helpful.

Just an update: The Toggle Button Idea doesn't work. It seems that the status of the button doesn't get checked or changed until after the button's procedure terminates. This would also be the reason that the text boses I use for stats counters that I have set up don't update until the function retu...

NinjaNL,

No reason to be embarassed, it worked fine & I knew what you meant. Either way, you're still an expert :D . Heck, that tutorial alone is an awesome accomplishment.

NinjaNL,

Thank you very much for the demonstration on how to change a regular button to a toggle button.

It tells me that wxToggleButton is undeclared. Do I need to update any of the header files or anything like this?

Toggle Button

Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places, but I don't see a toggle button option on the frame editor, and I don't see anything about wxDevCPP not implementing that. Is the Toggle Button not implemented in wxDevCPP? If not, I'm sure it can be created in the traditional manner, correct? Will the...
