How to show minimize box

Hi all, I have a little problem : I can't show the minimize box on my main window. I think the problem is that I display the main window as a modal dialog : IMPLEMENT_APP(essaisvgApp); bool essaisvgApp::OnInit() { //(*AppInitialize bool wxsOK = true; wxInitAllImageHandlers(); if ( wxsOK ) { essaisvg...

Re: How to enable a modless dialog

Oh thanks a lot. Here is my new (working) code for initializing the app. With that, you can launch modeless dialog with no problem. But don't forget to destroy it before existing... IMPLEMENT_APP(essaimodalApp); bool essaimodalApp::OnInit() { //(*AppInitialize bool wxsOK = true; wxInitAllImageHandle...

How to enable a modless dialog

Hi all, I want to show a modeless wxdialog when the user click on a button. Here is the code inside the "click event" : MyDialog* dg = new MyDialog(this); dg->Show(); The new dialog is shown. But not "enabled" : user can't click on button, can't even close the dialog ! I've tried this with "minimal"...

First, thanks for your answers. Then, I'm under Linux (Xubuntu 8.04) and I develop with Code::Blocks nightly build. I have an Unicode version of wxWidgets libs (the ubuntu official one). But I don't know what how to specify that I want an unicode build of my application. Thanks AlicVB PS : I'll try ...

I'm afraid this is not the pb : I try wxLocale::Init() with parameters, without, ... I can add that this code : int main(int argc, char **argv) { wxInitialize(); if (wxFileExists(_T("/home/myhome/été/truc.txt"))) wxPuts(_T("OK")); return 1; } Doesn't show the 'OK' (and the file pointed exists !) Any...

Console and encoding

Hi, I have a problem with a small console app I wrote. I detect a bug (in my app) when I pass args with characters like é,è,... After a lot of test, I can reproduce the problem with a very small code : int main(int argc, char **argv) { wxInitialize(); wxCmdLineParser pp(argc, argv); pp.AddParam(_("Fi...

Yes I know. But I just can't force endusers to have there files in a non FAT partition...
So, for instance I use the wxLogNull solution, but This is not very clean...

I may try to use directly the cp command on linux (without -p) and the wxCopyFile on Windows too.

Thanks for all !

Ok thanks.

I agree with you too, but i'd like to add another possibility :
Adding a optional argument in the function (like the overriting)

Of course, it's easy to say, but harder to do...

So, for now, i'll try to look at the wxLogNull.

Thanks

wxCopyFile and permissions on Linux

Hello, I have a strange error with a very simple code : wxCopyFile(f1,f2,true) It return an error like : "Impossible to set permissions for the file " and f2... But it depends on the partion's format : -f1 on FAT & f2 on FAT => error -just f2 on FAT => error - f2 on ext3 => no pb I think this is bec...
