How to set labels of wxRadioBox items?

I'm trying to set the labels of some items in a wxRadioBox. The documentation claims the SetLabel method was overloaded, so that you can specify a label and the int value of the item, but in fact it is not (wxWidgets 2.8.6 on Ubuntu Gutsy). There is also no SetItemLabel method as in wxPython. So how...

Thanks. I tried and I get: undefined reference to `wxDatePickerCtrlGeneric::SetFormat(wchar_t const*)' Any ideas? The docs say: Please note that this function is only available in the generic version of this control. The native version always uses the current system locale. But it seems I am using t...

Change date format for wxDatePickerCtrl?

How can I change the date format used in wxDatePickerCtrl to European DD-MM-YYYY? I think it has something to do with the default date representation in the system, but it seems to be American format always, on both a US-English and an Italian version of Ubuntu.

Thanks, it works now. It doesn't solve the bug though, but I will mark this as answered.

Thanks again for your assistance!

I presume your slider works properly if you operate it manually, and that you're trying to set a value that is it's allowable range. Yes, it does. The range is 0-100, so 50 is valid. What version, OS, etc. are you using? wxWidgets 2.8, Ubuntu Feisty, g++ (GCC) 4.1.2 Failing that, is there another c...

Thanks, that makes sense. I tried the code and it does something but doesn't move the slider. :(

Thanks, that helped, but it still doesn't work. Let's say I am trying to set the slider value to 50. I guessed that the SetInt() method of wxCommandEvent can be used for that. I tried: wxCommandEvent evt=wxCommandEvent(wxEVT_COMMAND_SLIDER_UPDATED, ID_MYSLIDER); evt.SetInt(50); MySlider->Command(evt...

How do I send a wxEVT_COMMAND_SLIDER_UPDATED?

I need to generate a wxEVT_COMMAND_SLIDER_UPDATED event. It will not be enough to update the slider value using SetValue() but the user interaction of clicking the slider must be simulated. I read through the event handling docs but they are a bit confusing to me. I assume I should generate a wxComm...

I've tried Raise() and also Lower() on the main window, both without any effect.

Using a wxDialog instead of wxFrame might help, but the window should actually be a frame. Any other ideas? Is this a bug?

How to get popup frame to foreground?

In some cases I need to display a popup frame in my app right at the beginning, so I Show() it in the main frame's constructor. The problem is that this popup frame will then always be in the background. I can only get it into the foreground if I Show() it later, like from a click event, but that's ...
