Well, could be a number of things... but most often when it happens to me, I did something awry in a destructor.

I'd suggest stepping through the destroy, and make sure the "this" pointer is valid.

Don't mind me, I'm just the newb! =)

Other alternatives are
wxDba (http://debea.net/trac/wiki/WxDba)
I have a question abut wxDba. recently I've tried it, but for some reason, it depends on wxODBC.... I'm not so sure this is an alternative as yet...

So my question is why does it depend on wxODBC?

Re: Easy print problem

Another issue, easyHTML worked good to go from portrait to landscape, but the printout method only goes to landscape after the first print request. This even happens with the sample code I got from the website. That might be of some interest to my problem... The printed materials in question are do...

About HTMl : are you able to view the same HTML document in a HTML control (without printing) ? The thing is, wxWidgets' HTML control is quite poor, so it may just be a limitation there. I especially very much doubt it supports CSS; you'd need to use wxWebKit for this I am quite able to print the s...

wxHtmlEasyPrinting, An issue, or invalid usage?

Using wxMSW on Visual C 2008. I've been trying to enable printing on an application, and it's been going rather awry. I went from attempting to use wxHtmlEasyPrinting, and then through all kinds of other classes covered in the printing overview documentation, all with bad results... Will start at th...

I checked the source web page in your original post... and noticed: The following paint handler shows the principles of rendering 3D graphics and draws a cube. The full sample can be compiled and run from samples/opengl/cube in your wxWidgets distribution. void TestGLCanvas::OnPaint(wxPaintEvent& ev...

One small tip... Especially if you are just getting started. Only use ONE instance of wxGlCanvas at a time until you get the hang of it. A project I'm working on uses an arbitrary number of wxGlCanvas windows, and believe me, it's a whole new can of worms to deal with. If you do use multiple windows...

Okay....

I tried updating to wxWidgets 2.8.10 and enabled wxUSE_MEMORY_TRACING.

The problem went away...

Maybe it was a bug in wx 2.8.9 that got fixed.

Problem in my code with wxEventHashTable::Clear()...

Trying to nail down an error, the problem is I don't know where to start looking. Clearly, something in my code is goofed up, but the error is coming out of the wx API, so am unsure... The break is signaled here: void wxEventHashTable::Clear() { size_t i; for(i = 0; i < m_size; i++) { ***->EventType...

Found the solution using info from

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=167747

Needed to completely remove the libraries and reinstall them.. Not sure why, but there it is.

It's unclear from your post if you used "wx-config --toolkit=gtk2" to re-build your project; simply calling "wx-config --toolkit=gtk2 --cflags" on the terminal won't change your project I'm using the terminal to show what the options passed are. It is quite clearly stated in line 8 of the original ...

Don't know if it's an improvement or not! Now it won't compile, complaining that wxCheckListBox is undefined. Odd...
