I have already chosen different approach. But for future use...
Is it static function? I call it once in begining and problem is solved for all sockets? I cant find this method in wxSocketBase documentation.

This is done probably in wxFtp constructor. So I can´t simply do that. It leaves probably two options. Add this functionality to wxFTP class which means get some knowledge about its functionality or create wxFtp object before running thread. I just come up with idea, that FtpThread constructor could...

I am trying to use wxFTP class inside detached wxThread. Everything looks work fine, but assert in wxSocket base class is failing and probably trigering breakpoint. ..\..\src\common\socket.cpp(142): assert "wxIsMainThread()" failed in wxSocketBase::Initialize(): Call wxSocketBase::Initialize() from ...

Solution? bug?

I changed library file sckaddr.h.

Code: Select all

#include "wx/object.h"
Adding this line made compilation work. Is it possible there were bug in library sources?

Preprocesor definitions

Good way how to solve this is to set wxUSE_NO_MANIFEST in Resources-General-Preprocesor Definitions.

This makes linker not use manifest part of resource file. And you can use manifest generated by Visual studio and link wx.rc same time.
