Anyways, I believe given the concepts in Inter-Client Communications Conventions Manual (ICCCM), it should be possible to do some hacks for MDI at the X11 level, but... it is not necessary, MDI should not be used. Hi SnakeChomb, thank you very much. Thats it exactly. Unfortunatly there is still one question left. Now that the window is displayed correctly, there isn't a tab displayed. And if i open up another mdi child window, the new one is displayed over the other one but there is no tab to navigate through...
