Re: size==1 Too many writes to wake-up pipe?

Hi ONEEYEMAN, To debug the error, I run the wx app by shell, so I can see the error message from the scripts. Sometimes the remote devices are not reachable or the connection goes in timeout, but I try except the errors. I will search if there are some issues in the running scripts. Thanks for your ...

Re: size==1 Too many writes to wake-up pipe?

Hi ONEEYEMAN, the script are python 3 one, with a HTTPS GET request to the device. It is just python, I write the result of the get in a file, and when the script end without error, i parse the file in the wxwidgets app. The script is the same for all the device, but I change the get request to matc...

Re: size==1 Too many writes to wake-up pipe?

Hi, sorry for the late Reply and thanks for the suggestions: Hi, Are you trying to call wxExecute() from a thread? Try to execute those scripts one by one Thank you. I'm calling the script one by one in the main thread, usually I'm binding the process to an event handler, and there I check the resul...

Re: size==1 Too many writes to wake-up pipe?

Hi,

the assertion error come from this code line:

Code: Select all

IMPLEMENT_APP(DevCollectorApp);
The app call 30+ script a time and wait till all are finish before the next round.

Maybe they are to much and need to be reduced.

Thanks for the help.

Nicola.

Re: size==1 Too many writes to wake-up pipe?

Hi ONEEYEMAN, The application is built in debug mode. I understand your point of view in reducing the project in a minimal and reproducible example, and I usually do this to discover the issues, but this time I can not do it in a "simple way". I asked this question if anybody knew the meaning of the...

Re: size==1 Too many writes to wake-up pipe?

Hi ONEEYEMAN, I would love to isolate the issue, but with the gap time so wide, it is difficult to point it out where the assert come from. I have the back trace for the error, but in this case I don't think is clear enough: ASSERT INFO: ../src/unix/wakeuppipe.cpp(102): assert "size == 1" failed in ...

Re: size==1 Too many writes to wake-up pipe?

Hi ONEEYEMAN, thanks for the reply, I'm using centos-release-7-7.1908.0.el7.centos.x86_64 with wxWidgets 3.1.2. I'm not sure I can reproduce the behavior with a small sample, the code is a bit wide. I was searching in the meaning of the wake-up pipe, if it is linked to the call to the script or mayb...

Re: size==1 Too many writes to wake-up pipe?

Hello, sorry to the reply to an old thread, but I'm facing the same issue. I'm coding a program to get the status from multiple devices. To get the information, I'm calling custom script with wxExceute, and handling the result of the process at the end of the event. After the collection of the infor...

Re: How to react to a USB stick plugged? Or how to check if a file exists in /dev/?

Hello,

wouldn't be better to use wxDir to check the item inside the directory?

if you check the content of /dev it should return the item inside it.

Maybe there is a better way to check if an usb is plugged in...

Re: wxDatagramSocket unable to receive reply if reply port is not receive port at partner side

hi,

I'm using wxDatagramSocket in windows7 too, receiving from different source port to the server port.

May you show some code on how you initialize the socket and how you send the message?

Maybe there are a typo on the source port of the server or on the destination port.

Thanks you,

Nicola.

Re: Trouble with opening UDP socket via wxDatagramSocket

Hi, when you open a socket in listening, the ip.address of the socket, is the pc one. So the socket is locking on the right address for the incoming packet o the specified port. LiDARIPV4address.Hostname(wxT("192.168.1.193"));/*pc ip*/ LiDARIPV4address.Service(6699); When you need to send the data t...

Re: wxtextctrl setvalue/getvalue confusion

Hello,

Maybe you need AppendText() https://docs.wxwidgets.org/3.1/classwx_ ... aa9640768b
This way you can append more digit to the current number.

Container for wxArrayString

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to have a container for multiple wxArrayString. I'm usually work with simple array and matrix, but for the new project, I'm trying to have a more grow-able structure. Can someone point me to some example or documentation for a possible container? Thanks you very...
