Lion, Xcode 4.2, 2.9.2

I just upgraded to Lion, I got XCode 4.2, and tried to rebuild wxWidgets 2.9.2. The first problem was the use of an undefined (and previously depreciated) call. So I tried to get the latest daily version and build it. Now I get to some invalid static_casts in dataview.mm. Has anyone successfully bui...

app.Pending, app.Dispatch, OSX and 2.9

Prior to 2.9 I would frequently have logic like: while (app.Pending()) { app.Dispatch(); } to release control. With 2.9 and OSX the while loop never exits. 1. Was my logic wrong before 2.9 and now is showing a latent bug? 2. Is this a bug in the implementation of wxWidgets 2.9 for OSX Thanks, Ralph ...

wxString, IsEmpty, Len

I have a string which is all white space. I trim it on both sides. I then ask if it is empty and if its len is larger that one. It is not empty and its len is 1. Looking at the object, it has n_pos = 4294967295 (which I take as -1. The buffer address is valid and the first character is 0. Are the Is...

Solved: To get the mouse events through to my application I needed to create a panel and pass mouse events like left up through to the appropriate spot. The menu was at the mainFrame object (parent of the panel) and the panel passed events through to its parent....and then continued with a skip(). T...

Mac and multiple events

I have done something to my MAC project (build with DialogBlocks) and clicking on a menu item will result in five repeated events. I can create and build projects that do not have this problem. I cannot figure what I did (it was my first project). The same project built for Windows does not have the...

oooo, I have never done this before!

I am tied up for the next couple of days.

My opinion is that the patch should go in Close()

SOLVED Here is what is happening. I create an object of the class wxFTP. I set the user, set the password, set the host and connect. At this point the memory of the mode is NONE. I set binary and get the directory. I then close the connection. I do not destroy or recreate the object. I then set the ...

I have connected to the server by the command line ftp and everything work fine (do a directory, set binary get a file).

I might just grab the wxwidgets codes and send a type command before the test at the start of the SetTransferMode code

Max: Actually, in the CTOR for wxFTP the memory of the mode is set to NONE (as you pointed out). In my opening of the wxFTP initially I did a mFTP.SetBinary() and it does go through all the logic to set binary mode and passes through the code in SetTransferMode with m_currentTransfermode = NONE and ...

Max, Thanks, I had thought of that but opted for the second class (trying as many things as possible to appreciate all that is in wxWidgets)

In the source file data[254] = 254, data[255] = 255. In the received file, data[254] = 253, data[255] = 254, data[256] = 255. The problem occurred earlier in the transfer: Source file has data[i] = i Received file has data[i] = i for i = 0 to 9 data[10] = 13 data[i] = i - 1 for i = 11 to 256 Ralph

Okay, here is some code. // // mFTP is a instance of wxFTP which prior to this point has been given username, password, and the host. // It has also been connected // mFTP.SetBinary(); wxInputStream *in = mFTP.GetInputStream(filename); if ( in ) { if (in->CanRead()) { int bufSize = 10000; int size =...
