try rearanging the order in which the library files are listed in compiler options. sometime they have a specif order in which thy need to be linked. I had already tried that, but nothing changes. it also looks like there may be an issue with your pathnames, for ex... Cpp/Lib\netsnmptrapd.lib(./ ha...

Seems that some libraries are not in the library path. Do you check about that? The NetSNMP libraries (netsnmp.lib, netsnmpagent.lib, netsnmphelpers.lib netsnmpmibs.lib netsnmptrapd.lib) are all in C:\Dev-Cpp\lib and that's the library path for the compiler, so that souldn't be the problem. Also in...

Eventually I decided to try NetSNMP. I created a DevPack with the precompiled libraries and the include directories i got from the binaries of the 5.4 release (the file net-snmp-5.4.0-1.win32.exe that can be downloaded here: http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/download.html ). After a little bit of "tun...

SNMP and wxWidgets

I want to make a GUI using WxWidgets and wxDevC++ by wich the user could manage SNMP agents (practically a GUI for a SNPM manager). Right now I'm looking for the best way to implement a SNMP manager using WxWidgets and wxDevC++. I'm undecided between the Windows SNMP API (winSNMP) and Net-SNMP. I sa...

I take it that gpib32,lib is the name of your wxctb static library. Yes If so since you have already moved it into the static library folder try adding just gpid32.lib to the top of the linker list. You shouldn't need the whole path. I get the same linker error even with gpid32.lib (both with and w...

Can't compile using wxctb libraries

I want to use the wxctb libraries for an application. I copied gpib32.lib in C:\Dev-Cpp\lib, and I copied the wxctb\include\wx directory inside C:\Dev-Cpp\include In wxDevCpp I added c:/Dev-Cpp/lib/gpib32.lib in Project Option->Additional Command line options->Linker But when I compile I get [Linker...

I went ahead and built the DLL library on my machine to figure out how to get it to work. Thank you very very much!!! :D You've been really kind! I followed all the steps you wrote and now everything works perfeclty :D So maybe the mistake was in the fact that I didn't modified the libraries and in...

Re: Can't compile using wxWidgets as DLL

First, you didn't need to use MSYS to compile. All you needed to do was use the same MingW compiler that wxDev-C++ uses. I'm not sure if it will matter, but it might be a good idea to give it a try. Mal has a list of instructions (just modify them to use the DLL just like you did for MSYS): http://...

Can't compile using wxWidgets as DLL

I want to reduce the size of my executables. So I compiled the wxWidgets as DLL with MSYS using as a reference this: http://www.wxwidgets.org/wiki/index.php/Compiling_WxWidgets_With_MSYS-MinGW and the last post in this topic (changing DLL=1 with SHARED =1): http://forums.wxwidgets.org/viewtopic.php?...

Problem solved: it's possible for the Client to reconnect using the same port but to do that it must wait at least 120 seconds after closing the previous connection on that port

Yes I looked at it. That Client works but it doesn't binds itself to a specified port, it connects with: sock_cl->Connect(addr_server,false); So it lets the OS choose the port. In my case I want to be able to choose a specified port for the Client. Does it make any sense for the client side??? Well...

Hi, did you look at wxDIR/samples/sockets ? It works just fine with client connect/disconnect. Yes I looked at it. That Client works but it doesn't binds itself to a specified port, it connects with: sock_cl->Connect(addr_server,false); So it lets the OS choose the port. In my case I want to be abl...
