Try this

I had a similar problem and this worked for me

instead of

Code: Select all

dc->DrawBitmap(panelBitmap,5,5,false);
try:

Code: Select all

dc.Blit(0,0,_aPanel->GetSize().GetWidth(),_aPanel->GetSize().GetHeight(),&mem_dc,0,0);
If anybody knows why DrawBitmap doesn't work with wxClientDC's I'd be interested to know....

different versions of wxPlot

I assume you mean this wxplot: http://personales.unican.es/carreracg/web/wxplot.html ? In order to build it with Dev-Cpp, I found a special distribution at: http://oabl.free.fr/future.htm that came with Dev-Cpp project files for building it. Once it was built, I simply had to add options to my proje...

two simple questions

Hello, I'm using wxWidgets 2.6.0 on Windows XP with Dev-Cpp. Question 1: How can I save a wxPlot to a file, preferably a bitmap or jpeg? Alternatively, can I write the image from a wxDC/wxPaintDC/wxClientDC to a file? Question 2: I have a wxNotebook inside a wxFrame (the main window for my applicati...

Problem with wxClientDC and wxPlot

Hello, I'm using Dev-Cpp 4.9.9.2 and wxWidgets 2.6.0, and the new version of wxPlot from German Carerra. I'm having a frustrating problem using wxPlot. Inside a wxNotebook, I have a wxPanel upon which I want to plot some data. The left half of the Panel (inside a sizer) is filled with buttons, and t...

I'm not clear on what you really want to do, but I was able to get it to work by overriding wxGridTableBase, and it works quite well. I only implemented the following functions: class MyGridTable : public wxGridTableBase { public: MyGridTable( int nCol,vector<string> *, vector<string> * ); int GetNu...

General design strategy

I have a program where most of the dialogs are dynamic. For example the number of wxTextCtrls needed in a given dialog depends on the user's choices. To deal with this, I have been using an stl::vector like vector< wxTextCtrl * > myTextCtrls And I simply add each of the wxTextCtrls to the vector. Th...

I had a similar problem with wxListCtrl and I solved by overriding the OnSize function for my panel as:

Code: Select all

void OnSize(wxSizeEvent& event){
  Layout();
  myListBox->Layout();
};
Don't know if that will help you, but it worked for me.

wxTreeMultiCtrl might work for you:

You can add checkboxes to a tree control using this widget.

Thanks for the new Dev-pack. I have an old project that I had been working with using wxWidgets 2.5.4 and Dev-Cpp 4.9.9.1. When I upgraded to the new 2.6.0 dev-pack, I get the following error: Mismatch between the program and library build versions detected. The library used 2.6(no debug, ANSI, comp...

Hiding scrollbars in wxListCtrl

I have a wxSplitterWindow with a wxListCtrl in each pane. I would like to hide the horizontal scrollbar in one of the panes/wxListCtrls and then control the scrolling of both wxListCtrls using the single remaining scroll bar. I think I can figure out how to intercept the scrolling events and link th...

Sounds like wxDialog doesn't catch scroll events, not all windows do. If not, you will have to write your own functions to handle scroll events. The scrolling overview in the wxWidgets help file discusses this issue I think.

Is this what you're referring to?:

https://secure.codeproject.com/file/ini.asp

So then I just create a unique identifier for each field in the ini file and read from there when I recreate a window or frame? Seems easy enough, although I'm surprised it's not automated yet.

Thanks.
