When using MSys2, you can build via configure/make.
You can use wxMSW or wxGTK. Note: wxGTK is not yet stable.
The wxMSW is OK for me. I'm going to give it a try.

Thanks.
If building using configure/make instead of pacman packages; read msys2-msw.md under docs/msw

Re: wxwidget not installing properly

Hi, Also as a suggestion - tsake out "MONOLITHIC = 1". While still supported, it may (or may not) give issues in the future. Thank you. Warning on Windows you need to delete all the files that were built when changing the value of MONOLITHIC. So, before changing MONOLITHIC do an clean and I would d...

Re: compiling wxWidgets on windows 10 with cygwin

What Cygwin GCC are you using? Include 32 or 64 bit information.

With that I can see if I can duplicate the problem.

Edit: I also need the configure command used?

Re: g++: error: c:/wxBuild/lib/libwx_mswu-3.1.a: No such file or directory

I will guess the wxWidgets build failed; if it did the cause was likely the "--enable-monolithic" option.
It takes a lot of memory to create an monolithic build of wxWidgets and it can often fail because of memory or command line too long issues.

No. I don't use CygWin. No need to run configure??? I'll double check the procedure and let you know. Thanks again!!! If you did not use CygWin, MSys2, or MSys? Then the configure should not have worked without the use of an Unix like environment. Are you using a Unix like environment; if yes, whic...

Read the directions on how to checkout the wxWidgets git sub repos.

Re: Wrong setup.h file?

Did you try using wx-config as suggested?

Can you try using "wx-config --list" on the command and post the results. Do not enter the quotes in the command line.

You can try defining "_UNICODE" in addition to "UNICODE" to see if the other or both are needed.
I mean when compiling your application; not when building wxWidgets.

Re: Build wxWidgets from BBB

I am guessing BBB means https://beagleboard.org/black

Why do you not try doing configure/make and see if it works?

Note: without the operating system info; it is likely no one can answer your question!

Re: Don't understand warning

I'll try -Wno-attributes. The problem with wxGTK is that it behaves differently from wxMSW. I want the same behavior and look on both platforms. I don't really care if my application looks and behaves like other gtk applications, I want it to be the same on all platforms. In regard to your warning,...
