Yes i've found that allready but if i do so it could also be hidden (because of blinking). I want to make it visible allthough its blinks.

Do i have to write my own small caret?

Show wxCaret, alltough blinking?

Hi,

can i somehow force the caret (wxCaret) of my window to be shown? Even if it is just hidden because of blinking? How can i turn of blinking completly?

I've solved the problem by using the Darwin Port for wxWidgets. but ill try its again this evening. THanks for your help guys!

Thank you for help, but as far as i understand wxAccelerator it only works in combination with event handling and that isn't availible in a console application (as you allready said).

Does any one else have ideas how i can get input from keyboard without blocking the programm?

Ok thank you for all that inforamtion! I'll look if i use threads or precesses. Thank you! I didn't know thet with the & at the end. That makes everything easier. But how can i get the application back into shell? So i can give commands and so on. What is "nohup"?
