you're right.
In fact, I really don't need both methods but anyway it should work.

I solved my problem.
I've installed/built the last wxwidgets release 2.8.10 and now without any changes it works. Seems that 2.8.9 (my previous wxwidgets version) was containing some bugs.

thanks

SaveAs Excel file and wxAutomationObject

Hi all Here is a piece of code that expects to save a file as Excel format using wxAutomationObject. When I launch the code (via menu), I receive a message box saying the following "Cannot start an instance of this class". wxAutomationObject ExcelObject; wxString FileName = "test.xls"; ExcelObject.G...

high cpu load with wxThreads

Hi I have several threads (from 1 to 100) that are doing some computations (looking for an opened port) and updates GUI frame (through postEvent() method) once a port is found. My problem is that CPU load is really too high (around 99%) (if I have 1 or 100 threads , that's the same !!!) I set thread...

Hi

I tested both proposals and it works.
My final solution is to post an event to my wxListCtrl (belonging to my wxFrame)

thanks

Hi guys

Thanks for your proposed solutions...
I'm going to try both solutions even if I think a synchronized solution is the best.

I will give you result after test.

Regards

wxThreads and update of common variable

Hi I've an easy question but as I've never done such kind of code, I don't know how to do that. I've a list of threads doing a specific treatment and each of them needs to insert an item (inside a wxlistctrl that is in the mainframe). My problem is the following: Each thread may insert an item at th...

Automatic closing of a dialog

Hi wxwindows community I have a small (and may be stupid question) regarding dialogs that are automatically closed. I mean: I display a dialog and I want this one to be closed automatically (after a few seconds) without any action of the user (no click on OK button for example). If someone has an id...
