Calling an event by a literal

How can I raise an event by using a literal and without if...else if...?
That should be really time consuming since I have lots of events that are raised by an XML script.
Different event for each tag.
Any ideas?

Re: Cloning wxEvtHandler from a costum class

I have a problem with copying a wxEvtHandler instance. I have this class: class A : public wxEvtHandler { B obj; public: A() { obj.handler = this; } //... }; class B { B() { //raises event } }; This code crashes for some reason. Any ideas? The problem is that the construction of object "obj" inside...

Hi the_drow, you are using a member 'handler' of class B in the ctor of class A, but this member is not declared in class B. class A : public wxEvtHandler { B obj; public: A() { obj.handler = this; } //... }; class B { B() { //raises event } }; Regards Frank oh you're being petty lol. I did declare...

Cloning wxEvtHandler from a costum class

I have a problem with copying a wxEvtHandler instance.

I have this class:

Code: Select all

class A : public wxEvtHandler
{
  B obj;
public:
  A() {
        obj.handler = this;
      }
//...
};

class B
{
   B()
   {
      //raises event
   }
};
This code crashes for some reason.
Any ideas?

If only I knew Delphi...
Pity that Joel left the project.
Anyone knows what happened to the original Dev-Cpp?

Class wxXmlDocument is already a wrapper for expat, isn't it? So you suggest to make an alternative for wxXmlDocument? Well, in that case I would prefer to ditch expat and use libxml2. It is much more powerful comparing to expat. And libxml2 even knows how to work with DTD... Does it know how to tr...

The linker can't find my library

I'm using wxDev-C++ with gcc and I made a GUI that should use a static library. The hpp files are compiling just fine but I don't want to include the cpps and compile them every time. So I built a static library from my library and compiled it into "D:\Dev-Cpp\lib\". The library is called "D20Rules....

You'll have to post error messages/compile logs etc, we can't just diagnose without even knowing what's going on (like, you can't go to a doctor and ask "doc, can you fix me up" if you don't tell him what your symptoms are) Joel Well I told you the symptoms are considering that there were no error ...

I left it to compile and it took hours but when it was finally compiled then it just doesn't run. I don't really know why.
There shouldn't be any problem.
Please help me I need to serve a project in a couple of days :(

Compilation takes forever

This is probably not wxDev-Cpp's fault but who knows. It's just not moving anywhere and it doesn't compile the frame class. Are there any reasons for that to happen? Omer Edit: It just occurred to me that I updated my wxform file to wxdevcpp 6.10.2 from the older version. Maybe this is the problem? ...

Any idea why can't I change the component's background color?

One way to get the component is to get it from the CVS . Cool thanks. I'm trying to install the control and compile the sample but I'm having troubles. I get errors: ../../Desktop/wxSpinCtrls/src/myminimal.cpp: In constructor `MyFrame::MyFrame(const wxString&, const wxPoint&, const wxSize&)': ../.....
