Re: Generating executables on Ubuntu 18.04 [SOLVED]

Hi.

I had the same problem when I've switched to Debian 9 some months ago.

It seems related to this problem

I've solved it adding -no-pie to the link process.

Command line sample :

Code: Select all

g++ -o TestExe -no-pie main.cpp

Re: Build wxFreeChart and using it in Code::Blocks [SOLVED]

Hi But I got error nmake is not recognized. so I change it to mingw32-make -fmakefile.gcc but I still get errors: This is the right thing. But the others command line options must match the ones you've used to build your version of wxWidgets. Did you build your libs or did you download them ? Regard...

Re: wxListBox::FindString issue

Hi I gues it returns the very first item with that label You're right. how to get the other items with that lebel? You'll have to make the search yourself : int iCount = myListBox->GetCount(); for (int i=0; i<iCount; ++i) { if (myListBox->GetString(i) == _T("Searched string")) { // Do what...

I thought mixing wxLocale and C locale functions was to be avoided?

It is.
But it works :) And if he doesn't use wxLocale there shouldn't be any problem.

Hi.

A Quick trick is a call to setlocale(LC_NUMERIC, "C") witch will force decimals to use the point.

Re: shlwapi.lib + version.lib not found

Only I won't understand why when using wxWidgets 3.0.4 everything worked by default, when using wxWidgets 3.1.1 it is necessary to set references in addition. Probably matter in the software. I used CodeLite and CodeBlocks. wxWidgets 3.1.1 has more features than 3.0.4 witch justify the need of thes...

Under which license can we look at your work? There is no particular license : you can do what you want with it. It's here to help... It may be easier to recreate a text ctrl at every toggle event, having the same size, position, value, parent [, position in sizer], and maybe also use Freeze()/Thaw...

Re: shlwapi.lib + version.lib not found

This time, the missing lib is "oleacc" (liboleacc.a). When you have undefined references concerning Windows APi functions, just make a google search on it and you'll get a MSDn result. In this case (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd318027.aspx), just go to the end...

Re: wxTextCtrl password entry with show&hide password option

Hi It may be easier to recreate a text ctrl at every toggle event, having the same size, position, value, parent [, position in sizer], and maybe also use Freeze()/Thaw() on its parent when switching the 2 controls. If you need an example, just have a look at this : this is exactly what I am doing. ...

Re: shlwapi.lib + version.lib not found

Hi

Regarding your first post, the errors you have doesn't come from a "shlwapi" or "version" libs files, but from the "uxtheme" one.

So just adding "-luxtheme" to the link command should resolve your problem.

Re: Display problems with wxBoxSizer and wxScrolled with wxWindow [SOLVED]

Thanks. Making those controls children of panel1 did the trick. However, with your example of indentation, you deleted a bunch of the controls. So I tried doing the indentation myself, and it's not easy to do. But the window constructs like it should, so thank you! This was just a portion of code t...

Re: Display problems with wxBoxSizer and wxScrolled with wxWindow [SOLVED]

The main problem with your code is that all your controls are direct children of the frame. But some of them sould be children of others. For example, you create a wxPanel (named panel1) and you afect a sizer to it (sizer2) But the controls managed by this sizer are children of the frame whereas the...

Hi.

You should post the code you use to create your interface, because without this, we can't really find where the problem is.

Re: Send Parameters to dialogs

Hi. As the dialog class will be yours, derived from wxDialog, you can make the constructor accept any parameters you'll need. And / Or you can create accessors to set the parameter. class GpoDatdlg : public wxDialog { public: GpoDatdlg(wxWindow *parent, bool lnew); ...... }; GpoDatdlg::GpoDatdlg(wxW...
