I got the same problem here. And DavidHart's method solves it. I remember I read some post before about the event look-up order in classes, but I can not find it now. If you see the "control" demo under "samples" directory, man, it's a beautiful demo. But the event handling won't work unless having ...

Thanks terranim!

Actually I had a sizer including GLCanvas and buttons which is not work. But after seeing your code, I noticed the order you set the menu and sizer.

Yes, THE ORDER IS MATTER!

I set the menu first, then the sizer now has its full size!!!

MenuBar overlaps GLCanvas

Hello,

I have a 800x600 frame with a 800x600 GLCanvas. After adding the menubar, I found the menubar is overlapping with the GLCanvas. Some drawings are obstacled by the menu bar.

I tried to put the menubar and GLCanvas into one box sizer, but menubar will disappear.

Anyone knows how to fix that?

I uninstalled my VC 2005 pro, and did a fresh install of VC 2005 express + Platform SDK. That works!

I don't know what's wrong with the previous VC. But I followed the how-to at http://forums.wxwidgets.org/viewtopic.p ... sc&start=0
, it works greatly.
