Ok, thanks.
The new version ist the last version, 3.2.2.1
The old I can´t say, because we updated the toolchain and now I cant look back. It was a 3.x version, not 2.8.
Now I solved for me with setting at least one pixel , but I will try the ConvertAlphaToMask() function.
Best,
Ingolf

Bug in wxWidgets with alpha channel
In the new version of wxWidgets dont work the alpha channel correctly. In a older version was fine. Problem: I take a picture 32x32pixel, the whole image is empty, no pixel is set. Format is png. I load the image with "bm = wxBitmap (wxImage (filename));" Then I have a wxStaticBitmap and a...

Re: Bug with wxSplashScreen
Sure, I use -j8 on my computer :-) Ok, I will try another MinGW compiler, maybe it will work. But for now we use the release build with -O0, that works fine. The problem is that we have several 1000 users, and also so many different machines and OS combinations. If we release a version that crashes ...

Re: Bug with wxSplashScreen
The build of wxWidgets was done on two different PCs, one Win7, other on Win10. Complete different installations. The result is the same as described. Yes, the smallest samples crashes also - in this case is clear - it have nothing to do with our software. I will make a further test - compiling wxWi...

Re: Bug with wxSplashScreen
I use the recommendet TDM GCC 32, latest version from the github: https://github.com/jmeubank/tdm-gcc Ok - I explain: wxWidgets debug dll`s: I can compile my program in Release-Mode (stripping symbols, Optimization etc.) and the programm runs perfect. I can compile my program in Debug-Mode (with deb...

Re: Bug with wxSplashScreen
My programm runs perfect in release build and in debug build. Problem is wxWidgets. I compiled now the release build of wxWidgets with -O0 instead of -O2 like default settings and then the libs are running. So the problem is a bug in wxWidgets with the optimization flags. This happens only on some W...

Re: Bug with wxSplashScreen
Monolithic is necessary because I want to deploy all single dll´s. This can be complicated with updates. Our software was distributed since 2012, and over this time we had a lot of updates - always simpler with fewer files. The debug-options are only for the debug version - not release. The two opti...

Re: Bug with wxSplashScreen
Ok, when I compile my program against the wxwidgets release dll's it always crashes. I can't use optimisation or O1, O2, O3 - and I can create debug symbols - no changes - it always crashes. When I compile against the wxwidgets debug dll's it works fine. I compile wxWidgest with: mingw32-make -f mak...

Re: Bug with wxSplashScreen
Ok, the optimization I will try
If I add debugg info and no-optimization then the program runs perfectly.

Re: Bug with wxSplashScreen
Thanks for the hint, but this i have done bevor. This is only a problem with transparency, not a crash.

Bug/crash on 3.2.2.1 (wxSplashScreen, all GUI-Elements)
Hello, I´ve changed the toolchain from TDM-GCC 4.8 to 10.3, wxWidgets from 3.0.2 to 3.2.2.1, Codeblocks from 10.3 to 20.03. Without changinf the code now I have severall problems. One problem is the wxSplashScreen: I use them with BitmapType_png, it works on different machines, but on some Win10 mac...

nothing in this case. On an other compiler I work the compiler strictly optimize the variables out, if you not declare as volatile. So it was a try to check, if this compiler has similar behavior

Re: Problems with using own Events based on wxEvent
Ok, I´ve changed to evt.clone(). So QueueEvent has a pointer on the heap. Now I can copy the complete content, and it works. But still I have sometimes segmentation faults. I will try to use wxTreadEvents(). But I must found out, how I can derivate my event class from this, because now I derivate fr...

Problems with using own Events based on wxEvent
Hello, I´ve created a own Event class (have a look to the end of this message). I´ve created a thread based on wxThread. From this thread I fire the events with wxQueueEvent(OwnerDB[idx].owner,&evt); The owners are stored in a std::vector. The event is declared static. ( static RCEvent evt; Init...
