wxPanel as a wxAUI pane

I'm trying to convert an application to use wxAUI. I'm using wxWidgets 3.1.2 I'm trying to create a wxPanel that contains two wxTextCtrl widgets on it, then install this panel as a pane with the wxAui manager. The intent is to be able to undock the pane, keeping the wxTextCtrl's together. The pane (...

Re: WarpPointer question

Oneeyeman: Yes, this is exactly what I'm trying to accomplish... Calculating the offset for the new Origin (after scaling) has been somewhat trickey...

But also wanted another option where "zoomed item" is popped to the center of the window (much like the option in Microsoft Visio).

Re: WarpPointer question

I agree that it is not good practice to move the mouse pointer programmatically... However, I want the behavior of using the wheel to zoom (in/out) with the position of the cursor determining which part of the image/diagram should be shown in the center of the window. So if I want the see the upper ...

WarpPointer question

I'm trying to add a zoom function to a wxWidgets application. I'm using 3.1.2 on both Linux and Windows. I want the drawing to "zoom" when the mouse wheel is rotated, and for the position of the mouse when the rotation occurs to be zoomed and placed in the center of the window. I have most of this w...

Re: "Panning" a wxGCDC drawing?

Looks like using dc->SetLogicalOrigin(x,y) instead of Translate works!

"Panning" a wxGCDC drawing?

I'm using wxWidgets 3.1.2 I'm attempting to use a wxGCDC to draw some things. I'd then like to be able to zoom and "pan" the canvas. I create the canvas using: void MyApp::OnPaint(wxPaintEvent& event) { //wxGraphicsMatrix gcm; wxBufferedPaintDC bpdc(this); wxGraphicsContext *gc= wxGraphicsContext::C...

Re: IsShown - undefined Reference

Oops... Looks like the wxwidgets build put the results in /usr/lib (per the --prefix configuration) while C::B and the wxformbuilder must have been looking in /usr/lib64

I copied all of the /usr/lib/libwx_gtk3... files to /usr/lib64 and things seem to work!

Thanks!

Re: IsShown - undefined Reference

Thanks for your response... I am building on CentOS 7 via a normal terminal window. Here is the output of the commands you requested: [[email protected] gtk-build]$ wx-config --version 3.0.4 [[email protected] gtk-build]$ wx-config --cxxflags -I/usr/lib/wx/include/gtk3-unicode-3.0 -I/usr/include/wx-3.0 -D...

Re: IsShown - undefined Reference

Did one more test. I created a new wxWidgets project in CodeBlocks, then did a build. Here is the output: -------------- Build: Debug in NewTest (compiler: GNU GCC Compiler)--------------- g++ -I/usr/lib/wx/include/gtk3-unicode-3.0 -I/usr/include/wx-3.0 -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DWXUSINGDLL -D__WXGTK_...

IsShown - undefined Reference

I'm attempting to upgrade wxWidgets from 3.0.2 to 3.0.4 I compiled and installed the 3.0.4 release, then attempted to re-compile a couple of applications. Both compiles would not link due to an undefined reference to IsShown(). Here are the errors when trying to compile wxFormBuilder: Linking wxForm...

wxScrolledWindow in wxNotebook tab

I'm using wxWidgets 3.0.2 on Centos 7 I have a Frame that includes a wxNotebook. When certain events occur, I add a tab. The tab is generated with a wxPanel that contains a wxBoxsizer. In the sizer is a wxScrolledWindow. The wxScrolledWindow contains a wxFlexGridSizer with many widgets, etc. When th...

Re: Embedding TCL interpreter into wxWidgets application

Yes, just getting back to this project after finishing another.
OK, thanks... I'll post the question over at wx-users and see if I can find an answer there.
Thanks again!

Embedding TCL interpreter into wxWidgets application

I'd like to embed a TCL (not Tk) interpreter into my wxWidgets application. I saw a thread from long ago (2004? 2006?) that discusses this, but I didn't see any successes mentioned. I looked at cpptcl at SourceForge, but would like to do a more "formal" embed into my C++/wxWidgets application. Tcl p...
