Re: True Type Text Disappears with Filled Arcs (Linux Only)

Is this the best way to reset the stipple mask? wxBrush brush = dc->GetBrush() ; brush.SetStipple(wxNullBitmap) ; Also, Is there a problem drawing arcs with a stipple mask. We draw circles, polygons and arcs with a stipple mask essentially the same way. The circles and polygons work perfectly but th...

Re: True Type Text Disappears with Filled Arcs (Linux Only)

Yes, it was text after outline and I reversed it and it now works. I would think it would be the other way around.

Thanks!

True Type Text Disappears with Filled Arcs (Linux Only)

Hello, This is an obscure problem but I thought I would ask in case it was a know issue with wxWidgets. We have a panel where we display true type text inside a border outline, the outline consists of arc and line objects. The arc objects are displayed using a stipple mask. The border outline can be...

Re: Mirrored Text

We're not drawing inside a paint event handler so I couldn't use the first option.

The second worked well when mirroring around the x or y axis.

How would the second option work for text displayed at a 45 degree rotation
or anything other than 0, 90, 180, 270.

Thanks.

Mirrored Text

Is there a way to draw mirrored text to a wxDC object.

I tried the wxMirrorDC class but it didn't work. I also tried the SetLayoutDirection method and
it didn't work either.

Thank you.

Using:
- wxWidgets 3.1.0
- Window 7 Professional
- Visual Studio 2015.

wxPostScriptPrinter

Hello, I'm trying to use the wxPostScriptPrinter class to create a postscript file. We're using the wxPrinter and the wxPdfPrinter classes to print and they both work well. We're using the wxPostScriptPrinter class in the same framework as the other two. The wxPostScriptPrinter class does create a p...

Transparent fill pattern using a Stipple brush on a Printer

We're using a stipple brush defined from a bitmap with a mask to display a fill pattern. The fill pattern displays transparently on a panel or on a printer using wxPdfDocument (wxPdfDC), but using wxPrinter (wxPrinterDC) it's doesn't. It has a solid background color. Is this a shortcoming of the wxP...

Gtk Warning on Linux when setting a bit mask

When reading a .png file into our application to use as a stipple brush, we get the following warning on Linux. Same code on Windows but no warning. Gtk - WARNING ** : Attempt to draw a drawable with depth 24 to a drawable with depth 1 Any idea what could cause this? Also, the stipple pattern looks ...

Re: Setting Printer Options

We're past this problem now. We have a similar application that used GDI to print and it didn't have the same problem. It took into account the unprintable area of the printer. Once we included this in our existing code the problem went away. Here's the code we used to determine the unprintable area...

Re: Setting Printer Options

It's not really crashing. The printer hangs and takes a long time to finish. Sometimes more than 30 minutes.

The sample does print correctly.

I have a feeling it may have something to do with the page margins. It only happens when the margins are
set to 0.

Thanks.

Setting Printer Options

I'm trying to print to an HP printer and it's crashing. We found that the graphics mode for the printer is set to HP-GL/2. There's two options in the HP printer options dialog for graphics mode. HP-GL/2 and Raster. When we use raster, everything works fine but the default is HP-GL/2. I didn't see an...
