Re: MSW: Migration from 3.0.4 to 3.1.3 slows down (freezes) layout in wxScrolledWindow

Hi ONEEYEMAN.

I tried something similar to what hneubauer posted on May 18, but it didn't help. It looks like he has
created a new class that inherits from wxScrolledWindow and creates/manages his own scroll bars so
it would be hard to recreate what he has exactly.

Thanks.

Re: MSW: Migration from 3.0.4 to 3.1.3 slows down (freezes) layout in wxScrolledWindow

We have a similar problem using wxScrolledWindow. Scroll up and down, then move the dialog around and the dialog freezes for about 30-40 seconds. We build the application using wxWidgets version 3.1.0, Compiler MSVC 14 on Windows 10, Version 1909. We found that when running the application on Window...

Re: X button in upper right corner of modal dialog

From the diff, it looks like your just replacing ShowModal with Show but we really don't want to do this.

I didn't see anything on GitHub that helped. There were references to wxID_CLOSE but none of the cases referenced this issue
that I could find.

Thanks.

Re: X button in upper right corner of modal dialog

Not really sure how to determine the GTK+ version.

Tried this: rpm -qa | grep -i gtk

Came back with this: gtk2-2.24.32-4.el8.x86_64

-----

Yes, the X button in our Modeless dialogs work.

Re: OpenGL Compile Errors

Hello, Yes the libraries were built on the virtual machine. wxWidgets was built: ../configure --with-gtk --without-gnomeprint --enable-debug make Also tried the --with-opengl argument but this did not make any difference. The samples work fine so I'm looking to see what is different between them and...

Re: Problems with Blit

Thanks Utelle, The approach you recommended is what we were doing, it looks good in PDF but not good when drawing to the screen using a wxDC which is why we were looking for a new solution. It's really hard to get the end caps (half circles) to line up with the arc endpoints. So we will just use one...

Re: Problems with Blit

See attached file. Basically it draws a filled arc, then sets all pixels inside the arc
outline to transparent.

I was able to get this to work by using DrawBitmap instead of Blit but it's very slow.

Thanks very much.

Problems with Blit

Hello, I'm using the wxPdfDC Blit method to print an arc outline. It works perfectly when I print to the screen using wxDC but when I print to a PDF using the wxPdfDC , it displays a black rectangle with the arc inside. How do I blit to pdf so the bitmap rectangle background is transparent. I'm usin...

Re: Drawing an arc using a stipple brush

Yes, See attached image. The arc is using a wxPen with a stipple fill. The circle is using a wxBrush with the same stipple fill. For the circle, the brush style is set to wxBRUSHSTYLE_STIPPLE_MASK_OPAQUE and the text foreground color is set to green. dc->SetTextForeground( *wxGREEN ); For the arc, t...

Re: Drawing an arc using a stipple brush

Is this something that could be enhanced in wxWidgets? We really need the primitive lines to have color.

Thanks.

Re: Drawing an arc using a stipple brush

Yes, I can see the pattern but the color is always white. I noticed the attached in the documentation. The stipple mask and stipple mask opaque entries are not supported. This is what we used when setting a brush when drawing a stipple fill interior. Will this be updated anytime soon or is there any...

Drawing an arc using a stipple brush

Hello,

Is there a way to draw an arc (not a pie) with a thick line using something other than a solid fill brush?

Thanks.
