Re: wxDev-C++ 6.10.2 released

I have a problem. I made project for gcc and tried to compile it with studio 2005. It keeps saying me CVTRES : fatal error CVT1100: duplicate resource. type:MANIFEST, name:1, language:0x0409 . As I understood in studio a manifest files can be turned off. But in wxDevCpp I did't find a way around.

bugfixation

I have an Idea - probably you have to public new versions like 6.10.1 etc. which will contain enhancements and bug fixes that doesn't change anything a lot. In that case project will looks more alive and easer to use. :idea: On the other hand everybody who will download the 6.10 will keep asking you...

Conversation form Delphi to Builder

I used in those times Delphi 6 and Builder with same version of components. I forgot the namber of builder. Buider is creating h files on top of pas files. Also I found in Internet utility to convert object pascal to C++ (right now utility should be better). To do it I renamed class to object. Appli...

delphi...

What the reason to use Delphi? You can start using Builder. It reates hider files for pas files. Also you can step by step convert pascal code to C++. Once long long time ago I did that.... when I was PhD student. I converted huge scientific project with tons of dialogs and openGL to Builder C++ in ...

CPU optimization

CodeBlocks has CPU optimization :!: . That is why few months ago I left here poster that it would be grate idea to make wx plugin instead of integrated to DevCpp environment. That plugin can be used in large set of C++ editors.

Perfectionism...

1. wxDevCpp doesn't have code in brackets hiding option (code between { } or comments between \* *\). That is most annoying problem for me. I have extremely huge platform independent projects. As a result Code::Blocks to write code, wxDevCpp to make GUI. 2. Compiler interface can be better, not all ...

DevCpp editor

Looks like DevCpp project was dead. For me the best free C++ editor is Code::Blocks. That is possible to convert wxDevCpp GUI editor as the Code::Blocks extension. In that case we will be free from dead stuff... wxSmith is not so sophisticated. On the other hands after wxSmith will be improved - wxD...
