Perhaps something from the bottom of this ( http://wiki.wxwidgets.org/WxGLCanvas ) page could help, it talks about dealing with flicker. That fixed it - much obliged. That and naming your class GLContext is TOTALLY confusing given the all important wxGLContext class. I'll bear that in mind; it make...

OpenGL Double-buffering not taking effect

Hi All, I'm trying to wrap my head around using OpenGL in wxWidgets and things seem to be going well; but I've hit upon a problem I can't fix. I have derived a context from wxGLCanvas and have that in a panel (derived from wxPanel) which along with a couple of sliders. Although I'm telling the conte...

From the looks of it, wxGrid might be the way to go. The requirement for a button to be embedded has disappeared, so all I'll be displaying is text and choice controls. Thanks!

Displaying large amounts of data

Hi all, In my current application I'm having trouble displaying information. The data I want to display is pulled from a database and displayed in tabs on a dialog. A new tab is generated for each 30 records and there's generally 3-4 tabs involved. Each record has 6 discreet pieces of information (b...

Previously, setting wxTE_PROCESS_ENTER would simply cause navigation through the panel to stop; but with metalogic's code I'm now able to intercept key presses, which is better then half the battle! Interesting stuff.. I'm still playing around with things, when I come up with a solution I'll be sure...

Catching 'enter' in a combo box

Hi, I have a feeling that I'm missing something obvious but I can't figure this out. I have a panel that has 3 text controls and 2 combo boxs and I want to catch 'enter' key from any of these controls. The text control works fine, but for the life of me I cannot catch 'enter' from the two combo boxs...

I'm aware of that but its not really what I'm after. What I'd like to be able to do is designed customised panel classes that can then be (re)used in anything from dialogs to notebook pages.

Creating wxPanel derived classes

Hi,
I've just spent the weekend trying out wxDevC++ (http://joelsplace.sg/projects/devcpp_setup.exe) and I have one question. At the moment you can create UI's based on wxFrame and wxDialog - is it possible to create UI's based on wxPanel/wxScrolledPanel?

Thanks!

I've created a tutorial on setting up a VS .NET 2003 project for wxWidgets - mainly aimed at newbies like me

Its a pdf, approx 1 mb (size due to extensive screen shots)

Linking in VS .net 2003

Hi, I'm attempting to run the sample app from the wiki tute; but I'm having some problems with the final link. As far as I can tell, all paths are setup correctly and I'm including all required lib files. Enviroment is wxWidgets 2.6.2, VS 2003 .net, on a Windows XP. Enviroment variables have been se...
