Re: Tool Tip does not show on MAC OSX

Hi

I have also the same problem here with wx 3.0.3. Simple Tooltips are working well under windows, but they don't appear under macOS sierra 10.12.5, Clang-802.0.42, with the same source code.

I don't know how I could debug that. If people have suggestions to do so that would be great.

Thanks

How to detect which wx object ring the bell error sound

Hi I recently turned on the sound system of my workstation and I discovered that one of my wxWindow (or maybe something else) was generating a bell error sound when I do some actions on my software. I don't know what I am doing wrong but I would like to solve the problem. Since I have a big loop on ...

Re: How to disable accelerator hot keys inside wxTextCtrl ?

I still need some help for this one. I am exactly in the same case of that thread: https://forums.wxwidgets.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=35427&p=144903&hilit=accelerator#p144893 however I find its solution doesn't fit to all my needs (see point 3 below). I think the problem is not seen by other wx users ...

Re: Overriding OnPaint for wxTextCtrl

Thats good to know. Thanks

Finally, for the wxTextCtrl, I am using wxBORDER_NONE, so I simply remove the decoration to the control. And thats ok.

Re: Overriding OnPaint for wxTextCtrl

Thank you for your help guys, I know that wx is intended to use the native controls, but when you have more than 10000 lines made around wx and a release in 2 months, it is not the time to change the windows library :) The users of my software push me to change its look for something darker since ma...

Overriding OnPaint for wxTextCtrl

Hi I would like to change the drawing (including decorations) of wxTextCtrl when it doesn't have the focus. So as a first step, I just wanted to catch all events that repaint the native control and paint in place a simple black rectangle that fill the entire window: CU3DCtrlText::CU3DCtrlText(wxWind...

Hi all On the OSX version of my app, when feed a wxTextCtrl like that : wxString st = "string that contains \"double quote\""; myTextCtrl << st; When the wxTextCtrl data is displayed it changes the classic double quotes by the duck-foot quotes: string that contains « double quote  » but I would want...

Re: Decomposing mouse action on a wxSlider

Yes but how to know that it is the first one ? One solution maybe would be to add a "state flag" that could be reseted at "release" event.

Is there some ways to store such a data (user data) inside a built-in wxSlider ? Or should I derive the class and add a member in it ?

Thanks

Re: Strange redraw problem under Windows 7

Hi I made more tests, and the add of DwmFlush(); change nothing. The problem remains. I repeat, the problem appears occasionaly when the "classic window theme" is set, when the "window vista" is set, there is no display problem at all. Also, I found that If I resize the window of my app, (so that th...

Hi all I have a problem which seems to be very close. But, inversly it happens on vista and seven when ***the classic windows theme is enabled***, It doesn't appear when the default transparent theme is enabled. The problem doesn't exist also on our OSX version. The symptom appears when the user dra...
