One thing I discoverd (it was also present in 2.6.1) when compiling wxBase from wxWidgets2.6.2, on MinGW, was that two needed .h files were not copied to the MinGW-folder by 'make install'. The two missing files are: \include\wx\msw\private.h \include\wx\msw\mslu.h Configuring options: ../configure ...

Problem solved!

After much debugging I found the cause of the problem. On this page it says that wxUnintialize() should be called for each time wxInitialize() is called. http://www.wxwidgets.org/manuals/2.6.1/wx_appinifunctions.html#wxinitialize I misunderstood it... So I called wxUninitialise() like this: (Kids! D...

I've just tried without inheriting from CSocketClient, and there is absolutely no difference. It fails at the same place...

I'm unfortunately not able to debug my code, as I had some problems with Dev-CPP. I've added som screen print outs to my code in order to follow the flow, and as I wrote in my first post, the last print out I get before the program crashes is from myThread::OnExit() Thank you very much for trying to...

That was fast... myThread inherits from CSocketClient and wxThread: CSocketClient destructor is not virtuel. I'll try making it that. CSocketClient has a Socket as private member. (This will later be changed to use wxBase as well). As myThread inherits from CSocketClient, myThread has a Socket as me...

wxThread problem

Hello, I'm having problems deleting my newly created wxThread-derived class. If I create the thread as detached, let it do some work and delete it via myThread->Delete(), I can see that Entry() finishes, OnExit() finishes and then CRASH: Windows messagebox saying that "Memory at xxxxx could not be r...
