You need to figure out your scroll position and blit from there. See wxScrolledWindow::CalcUnscrolledPosition.

Or if that doesn't work wx may use void*'s, so try const wxString* str = (const wxString*) *iter; This one obvious works... But that's just what I want to avoid (and the point of this whole topic)... If you use std::vector or std::map or something like that ... Then when you use (const-)iterators.....
