Hi there, I'm currently migrating my projects to 2.8.0 and the following worked fine for me: void bgIDialog::onOk(wxCommandEvent& event){ DoSomeFinalStuffHere(...); // old code: // wxDialog::OnOK(event); // new code: if ( Validate() && TransferDataFromWindow() ){ if ( IsModal() ) EndModal(wxID_OK); ...

it seems it has been the ghost in the machine...

after the 9th/10th (don't know) complete rebuild (but renaming the old 2.6.2. folders first, nothing more...) it works.

thanks for your help again. it's done so far...

Hmm, wired. I've done a testbed with slightly reduced classes from the orginal project -> no crash, it works fine.

I'll check the bindings...

Thanx for your tries.

Error Reading JPG's after migrating from 2.6.2 to 2.8.0

Hi there, I've migrated my GUI project from 2.6.2 to 2.8.0 with little code-adjustments. Now it compiles as before but during run-time it crashes at reading JPG's. Is there someone who has encountered that problem too or is it something specific with my code ? Because of the codesize I can't snap it...

hi,

initialize/deinitialize code is performed, wxApp doesn't work as i've expected under console app.

i've droped the idea of changing the bitmap data (not realy needed for benchmark purposes).

but all in all not realy satisfactory.

thanx anyway,

Console App and wxMemoryDC

hi there, i want to write a little console-app (MS Visual Studio Express) to generate a lot of stuff (text, pictures) for benchmark purposes. to mark the pictures i want to print a little string into the pictures. the code looks like: wxBitmap mapBmp(p->mapWidth,p->mapHeight,32); wxMemoryDC mapDC();...

Thanx upCASE,

that's the point. Can't remember why setup.h is included (I think it's a relict from my first steps with wxWidgets).

But removing it solved the problem.

Thanks again,

good morning again... I've created a little test-environment which demonstrates my problem: get the Vc++ 2003 project from http://www.begehungen.de/micky/WiredProblem.zip I've build both (debug and release) versions with my problem inside. The code style is like it's done in my main-project (to be e...

hmm...
I'm using Vc++ 2003 ...

But what object-names should I avoid to use ? My variable-names are completly different from class-names ?!

class -> bgIDialog
variable -> bgID

class -> wxTextCtrl
variable -> inProName

uhm, I don't see the point...

That was my first try. Got the same problem on the heap. But you are right - that might cause double deallocation. As for these definitions: I've not yet "created" these wxTextCtrl's yet, only defined and that's enougth to cause that problem. ... I've tried with pointers: class bgIDialog : public wx...

ok, I've found the point that makes trouble - it's wxTextCtrl again. I've posted a reduced coding-block of my dialog-class. The whole thing looks like: class bgIDialog : public wxDialog { public: bgIDialog(wxWindow* p); virtual ~bgIDialog(){}; public: std::string projectName; std::string begPath; st...

uhm, sorry... forgot the calling-code: wxString bgImporter::import(const HWND hWnd, const wxString& projectPath){ wxString ret = wxT(""); wxWindow win; win.SetHWND(hWnd); win.Enable(false); bgIDialog bgID (&win); if (wxID_OK == bgID.ShowModal()){ cbManager.logMsg(wxT("DllOK")); } win.Enable(true); w...

Wired problem with own Dialog

hallo coders, for the second time I'm stumbeling over runtime-errors since using wxWidgets with my projects. I've a main-application (using wx...) and some plugin-dlls (ehm, ok, currently one) using a wxDialog to enter parameters. The plugins will be loaded dynamically by LoadLibrary(...) - that par...
