Re: Equivalent of WriteText for wxRichTextBuffer

I finally got is working. For the sake of completeness: 1. Create a wxRichTextBuffer 2. Create a wxRichTextParagraph 3. Create a wxRichTextPlainText 4. Use wxRichTextPlainText::SetText to add text to wxRichTextPlainText 5. Add the wxRichTextPlainText under wxRichTextParagraph using AppendChild. 6. A...

Equivalent of WriteText for wxRichTextBuffer

Hi, wxRichTextCtrl has a WriteText() method, which writes text to the current position. The best part is that, if you are updating the contents of a wxRichTextCtrl pro grammatically, using WriteText(), from scratch (after a Clear()), you are always appending text at the end. I have bee able to do th...

Are you missing the

Code: Select all

wxXmlResource::Get()->InitAllHandlers();
call before trying to load a resource?

What T-Rex has mentioned is correct. Apart from that, 1. ImageList_* seems to be from wxmsw26d_core.lib. 2. RpcStringFreeA seems to be from RpcRT4.Lib and there could be others as well. I haven't checked all. I would suggest that you include all the libs mentioned below in the way T-Rex has suggeste...

Add

Code: Select all

#include <wx/listimpl.cpp>
to the cpp.

Also, move WX_DECLARE_LIST to the header and WX_DEFINE_LIST to the cpp.

My best guess. Has worked for me. :D

Hi,
In the wxWidgets documentation look for "Topic overviews->XML-based resource system overview".
A demo of the same is provided with the wxWidgets distribution under the folder \samples\xrc

DLL is Windows specific, dynamic library. And hence in this case you will have to use Win32 APIs to load a bitmap from a DLL. wxWidgets - in the best of my knowledge - will not handle it. Please refer to http://www.codeguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=231256 and MSDN Also, eventually you will have to...

Hi Emmanuele, I don't think you are in trouble :D The linker is being invoked using the command... `wx-config --libs`g++ -o"Wxwidg_proj" ./wxtest.o This is not correct. In the command mentioned above, the command "wx-config --libs" will be run by the shell(/bin/sh) and substitued before g++. I guess...

A Card Game - Some one test it once in Linux, pleeeeeeease!

Hi, I have created a Card Game using wxWidgets. http://rosanne.sourceforge.net/ Currently alpha, with no bells(icons) and whistles(options/configurations). Kindly let me know your thoughts on the application, if you get to run the same. Till now, no one has got back to me regarding the Linux version...

Yes sir. That is the problem. I tried using wxUrl and then set the header as suggested by you. It is working.

I can use wxUrl, but the documentation says that wxURL::GetInputStream is somewhat deprecated, and we should use wxFileSystem.

Is there any non-deprecated alternative?

thanks,
Kani

Override cache in wxFileSystem + wxInternetFSHandler

Hi, I am accessing a file thru HTTP using wxFileSystem and wxInternetFSHandler. It seems that the data is cached. If the file I am accessing gets updated, it is not reflected when I access the file again. It looks like data is cached somewhere. If I try to access the file using by Web Browser and re...

Hi All, The following is from the wxWidgets 2.6.3 documentation wxSocketBase wxSocketBase is the base class for all socket-related objects, and it defines all basic IO functionality. Note: (Workaround for implementation limitation for wxWidgets up to 2.5.x) If you want to use sockets or derived clas...

gcc - wxASSERT and strip

Hi,
If I compile an application using gcc, with debug information, and then later on strip the executable, will wxASSERTs still work?

Reason for my doubt is, strip should not remove any instructions. Or will it?
