Sending Events like tab [SOLVED]

I want to be able to catch the user pressing enter on a text control, process the value they have entered and then tab onto the next control in the window. I've tried sending tab events but I just can't get the code to send the event right. void TextCtrl::OnEnter( wxKeyEvent& event ) ...

Thanks for your help, seems the problem was that as I was just using the wxNotebook and not deriving my own notebook class I wasn't handling any of the notebook events. I got around this by calling: Tab->SetEventHandler(pMainFrame); So now my main frame can do the event control just how I wa...

Catching key down event [SOLVED]

Hello, I'm trying to add functionality to my program so that when I press the enter key, control is passed to the next control on the screen (a tab) and the value that the user entered (if they were on a text control) is stored. For some reason I dont seem to be catching any key down events at all! ...

Thanks for the help, that makes interesting reading but by world coordinates what I actually meant was world measurements. eg, I would like to draw an image that represents a 10000mm x 10000mm square onto a screen client area of say 500 x 700. As far as I can see its not a hugely complicated convers...

wxViewport?

Before I set about this task I wanted to be sure that there isnt already one of th...

Hello,

Ive been using wxImage and I now find that I want to do sharpen and blur functons, wxImage doesnt seem to support these - would I need a seperate image library to do that or is there somthing in wxWidgets that Im missing?

Types list...

Ok, so Im kinda new to wxWidgets and what I wondered is if there is a list anywhere of type conversions. Just a simple one, eg:

CString = wxString
int = wxInt16
Uint - wxUInt16
double = wxFloat32
LONG = ?
etc
etc

Does such a list exist anywhere?

Cheers,

wxImage and Sizers

I'm trying to add a wxImage I've created to my page sizer but of course the image not being a window* is not accepted by the sizer. wxStaticBitmap uses a very low res for win9x so I'd rather not use that. Does anyone know what control I should be using to load a bitmap into a sizer? Heres my current...

Global Functions/Variables [SOLVED]

Hello, I'm looking for a number of global functions and variables. The functions are mainly to do with Doc/View framework management: GetDocument() and GetActiveView() Are these controlled from within the DocManager or do globals still exist? Also I need to do some registry editing, in MFC m_pszRegi...

I see, so when for MacOS I will need to add #ifdefs to convert?

Ok, I have a few other questions about types too;

LPCTSTR - pointer to a string? So I can replace with wxString*?

UINT - not sure what I should replace this with!
