When I returned home the "X" box was showing up on the wxdialog running on the Windows98se laptop???
It must be a problem with the old Windows98se or the laptop.
I guess when it comes to Windows it always a good idea to
REBOOT! first.
Sorry for the trouble.

OK, this is strange. When I was having the trouble with the "X" box grayed I was using an old Dell Laptop (Windows98se). Wife came home, so I sent my project to my office computer and drove to the office. At the office I use Windows2000pro. I works fine. The "X" box is grayed using Windows98se. The ...

Thank you for the suggestion.
I had used wxDEFAULT_DIALOG_STYLE which included wxCLOSE_BOX
Anyway, I changed it to the following:
wxDEFAULT_DIALOG_STYLE|wxCLOSE_BOX
No change.
the "X" box is still grayed.

Hello,
I created a wxDialog and the exit X box in the upper right corner stays gray. How can I activate it?
Thank you.

Linking with Dev-cpp minwg32
Hello,
Is there a way to link that does not require:
mingwm10.dll
to Run?
Using Dev-cpp 4.9.9.2
package wxWindows 2.6.1
mingw32 3.4.2
Thank you.

Opengl - glCanvas
Hello, I can't seem to get picking to work using wxGlCanvas. Rendering works good, but when a go to my feedback-picking method things don't work. I think I don't know how to handle the dc and rc outside of the normal glCanvas OnPaint method. Does anyone out there have a short Opengl example that use...

The code is on your hard drive
ssigala was kind.
I could have been reminded that:
"The source code is on your hard drive."
I printed out glcanvas.h and glcanvas.cpp
I found that the mysterious m_gllist was a member of an example class and not wxGLCanvas.
Another great thing about WxWidgets - we have the source code!

wxGlCanvas inner workings
Hello,
Is there a doc out there that explains how display lists are implimented in wxGLCanvas?
ie.
What is the role of:
m_gllist
glGenLists( )
when to use
glDeleteLists()
Can we re-generate a list and use the same index?
Thanks

Pre-answer for questions about setting up VC++ .net 2003
The following is the main.cpp that I use with VC. It's not the best but is somewhat instructive for those just starting. (I'm using a GlCanvas for graphics.) Comments show my project settings. I hope some will find this helpful. Geaux (Cajun slang for "Go" as in Go Team!) WxWidgets! :) // Name: main...

dc.SetAxisOrientation problem
Hello, The following works unless I add "dc.SetAxisOrientation(true, true);" Any Ideas? I was thinking the result would be a line drawn from the lower left to the upper right. Instead I got a small rectangle (approx 10x10 pixels) under my menu in the upper left. :? Thank you. void CmyPanel::OnPaint(w...

Does it contain more than what you can find on internet, because living in India, I can't buy a 2000/- Rs book It seems to compliment what is available on the net. (I have learned things that have cleared up misconceptions.) I'm glad I bought it. :D I am on page 72 with 2 other stickies at pg 561 (...

Mine is on the way.
That's why I bought the first one from the publisher.
I received an email from the publisher on Friday stating that my order was on the UPS truck.
