It's so easy with wx: wxArrayString myarr; //use strings with _() or _T() because unicode-build and later translation myarr.Add( _("character array a") ); myarr.Add( _("character array b") ); myarr.Add( _("character array c") ); //c_str() returns a char* or wchar_t* printf(_("%s"), myarr[0].c_str() ...

How deep is your tree? Because if you delete a item, then there is the question to delete the childs too. I think the wxTreeItemId can't help you for implement a undo function. You need to store the deleted item data with childs and the parent treeitemid. You can create a structure with wxXmlNode an...

Your problem description is very poor! If you need to delete the selected item in a tree: wxTreeCtrl::GetSelection (returns wxTreeItemId) wxTreeCtrl::GetItemData(wxTreeItemId item) (returns wxTreeItemData* if you have added data to item) wxTreeCtrl::Delete(wxTreeItemId item) But after Delete the wxT...

If you have deleted a item in tree, then you can't get an id of it (because it is deleted).
Why would you have the wxTreeItemId?

I develop with VS 2005 and have build the wx as static lib and c++ - code generation = "Multithreaded /MT" instead "Multithreaded-DLL /MD", same settings in app. Now the msvcrt is linked in my app and doesnt need a vcredist to install.
