Alternatively, this is what I use when I have a dialog with several buttons, and clicking a button should close the dialog. Thanks for advice. It works. But u should write: MyButtonDialog::MyButtonDialog(wxWindow *parent) : wxDialog(parent, -1, "My dialog", wxDefaultPosition) {}; and only then call...

If the dialog is modal, use the dialog itself to process the button clicks, not the frame. So subclass wxDialog, add an event table, and handle the button clicks there.
I thought about it. But it's too complicated for a simple dialog. :9) If it's the only way I'll do it this way.

Events processing

For example I have a class MyClass derived from wxFrame. In some function MyClass::DlgCreate I create modal dialog like this: wxDialog MyDlg = new wxDialog(this, -1, "My dialog", wxDefaultPosition); wxBitmapButton button1(MyDlg, Button1Id, Bimtap1); wxBitmapButton button2(MyDlg, Button2Id, Bitmap2);...

wxWidgets 2.6.0 wxImage bug?

Hi all. And special for those who still remember me. :) I have following problem. I need to place transparent GIF images at the frame. I do: MyOnPaintFunction(wxPaintEvent& event) { wxImage Image; wxBitmap *Bitmap; wxGIFHandler GIFHandler; Image.AddHandler(&GIFHandler); Image.LoadFile(path, wxBITMAP...

Maybe you tried

Code: Select all

wxExecute( wxT("C:\"), wxEXEC_ASYNC, NULL )
instead of

Code: Select all

wxExecute( wxT("C:\\"), wxEXEC_ASYNC, NULL )
?

Some XRC problems

1. When I load my wxPanel class (here is the code): <object class="wxPanel" name="myConsole"> <style>wxDOUBLE_BORDER </style> <object class="wxBoxSizer"> <orient>wxVERTICAL</orient> <object class="sizeritem"> <option>1</option> <flag>wxEXPAND</flag> <object class="wxTextCtrl" name="ServerIn"> <style...

In XRC there's no need to do that, as it does deal with GUI layout. It's a description of how GUIs should be layed out and displayed. I know what XRC actually is. :) What do you mean with "sepparate classes"? If you have monolithic file with all controls in it when you type LoadFrame() all your con...

Check it out yourself: http://wxglade.sourceforge.net/
But wxGlade can't sepparate classes in different files. You do it by hand? Or you don't need this?
