How to use state machines in code without going crazy.

Hi. I work mostly with embedded micros. My approach is to use a switch struct with each case setting a next_state variable. Everything is working fine as far as logging and displaying messages but when I move the mouse to the left ...

Hello M3,

Sorry for the delay in responding. I have been away doing other things and so I did not get to see your response.

I will follow your instructions and have another bash at it.

Once again many thanks for your info.

what does wxGetApp().GetImage() stands for?

Hi Raynus, The wxGetApp function returns a reference to the application object. In the Rotate example you have the following declaration class MyApp: public wxApp { public: virtual bool OnInit(); const wxImage& GetImage() const { return m_image; } private: wxImage m_image; }; The reference returned ...

Take a look at the editor module in Codedragon
http://wxstudio.sourceforge.net/

I think this may be an example of what you are looking for.

Hi, Take a look at http://xoomer.virgilio.it/infinity77/eng/freeware.html#SpeedMeter The control is written in wxPython. I am in the process of porting it to c++ but due to hardware design commitments, at the moment, I have very little time to work on it. Andrea Gavana has numerous other very nice c...

Hi benedicte,

Thank you for the links. The Vector Graphic clock looks really nice.
There is also a sample in the wxPython Demo which may be easier
to port to WX.

If nobody comes forward in the next couple of days I will have a bash
myself.

Cheers

Hi Robin,

Point me to the code and I will have a bash at doing some
bakefiles for it and perhaps get the ones in wxWidgets-2.6.1/contrib
to work.

Best regards,

Noel Diviney.
