wxWidgets in DLL

Hi

I have a dll file which handles my gui stuff.

I dont want a wxApp because my application is totally modular. this is just one of the components.

Right now, my app segfaults.

Thanks.

from trial and error:
It will queue and wait. Spawning a thread would probably make the application unstable because most applications which do not use threads explicitly do not use mutexes to protect data, which is very sensible.

if you compiled wxwidgets yourself, which I am assuming you did, then there should be a setup.h file somewhere in the wxWidgets directory. Put that file into your include path.

i have had the same problem too. May I suggest not creating a console app and instead a wx application and override the OnRun Method. Also, I think there is IMPLEMENT_APP_CONSOLE or something like that?

Hi, I also use mingw and I recommend not to use the configure build system because it simply doesn't work. Instead use your normal shell and make makefile.gcc in the build/msw directory. So after changing tothe build/msw directory, run this command: make -f makefile.gcc or you might have to do mingw...

First off, rebuild your whole project. Then, make sure that the wxlibs are actually there. Then, if that doesn't work, rebuild wxwidgets by running mingw32-make -f makefile.gcc in the build/msw directory from the normal windows command prompt without using a bat file. Hope it works. I had no problem...

linking means that you take object files and combine them into an executable image. You build wxWidgets once and then you don't have to build it ever again. The built files are put into an archive(.a on mingw) and when you link against that archive, the wx functions you called are "routed" to the al...

Cross-platform image acquisition library

Hi!

I would like to know if there is a open-source scanner library which, on Windows, uses TWAIN and on Linux, uses SANE. Or will I have to write one myself?

Hi! Check out the Virtual World's Projects mingw makefile at http://cvs.sf.net/viewcvs.py/vwp/vwp_client/Makefile.win . That is a simple example. I suggest looking at revision >1.4 because they are easier to understand. Also, if you want a simple makefile: OBJS = main.o myfile1.o myfile2.o CFLAGS = ...
