Ok, for the records:

2.5.3 HEAD of Jan. 27 2005 solved my problems. Thanks to Vadim Z. for pointing this out.

Hi!

I have a similar problem in my application. The messages above are rather old; did Jorg's suggestion solve the problem, or were there any other fixes for this? (Except setting Show(false) for controls, moving them and then setting them Show(true), even if it kind of works...)

Actually, I tested this for a class where it would not wok; I simply let it inherit from some varius wx classes. Regardless what classes, the result was the same. Anyway, I got it working, but cannot remember how. :) I guess I had forgotten to include some stuff or something like that. Anyhow, I fou...

...but certainly, I did run into problems later on: I have a wxApp derived class where I do the XRC initialization. In another class, derived from wxPanel, I load some images from the resources as decribed above. Works like a charm. In another class, not derived from anything, I use the same procedu...

THANKS A LOT!! This works great , and is an absolutely smashing solution! I found out the bugs for wxrc 2.5.1 are solved to 2.5.2, so I did not have to change anything there. Only issue was getting link info correct, but now it runs the way it should. I am really grateful for this! For others doing...

Tyler, I was looking for XRC initially, but reading documentation back and forth, I did not get a grip on it. How did you do that? Except for that, considering my static library with the compiled images, I have some problems with my linker (VC++), and I am trying to sort that out. My C-files contain...

Hi!

Thank you, that is a great solution! I was elaborating with similar things, and now it works the way I want it. Excellent!

Hi! We saw some documentation for the built-in XML functionality that said "do not use yet". Perhaps that warning is deprecated? We need only simple XML-functions; tags with and without values, and that's it. Will wx/xml/xml.h be suitable for this? What do you reckon would be the easiest and best XM...

PNG:s compiled into the binaries as resource possible?

Hi!

I would like to have PNG:s that are compiled into my binary, and accessable for the program to display on the screen. Is this possible?

Mouse event not captured in wxMac

Hi! [Windows XP, VC6, wxWidgets 2.5.2] [Mac OS X 10.3, wxWidgets 2.5.2] I have an application for Windows and Mac. The "main window" is a wxPanel, which has some buttons. Capturing the button clicks for these works for both Windows and Mac. I also have a wxNotebook, whose parent is this "main" panel...

Topic: equivalent to MFC VERIFY macro in wxWidgets

Ok, I get Ryan's macro, and I reckon that is pretty good. But perhaps it is better to use the built in functionality and power of wxCHECK. Let us say I have the following (from MFC code): VERIFY(DeleteObject(hMask)); With Ryan's macro, there would be no change. But how would I write it with wxCheck?...

equivalent to MFC VERIFY macro in wxWidgets

What would be the wxWidget equivalent to the MFC VERIFY macro?
I guess I would use some of the conditional wxASSERT macros? (If so, are
the expressions in those macros ran even in non-debug mode?)

Is this an indication that 2.5 devlopment is _really_ far and pretty stable then? I installed 2.4.2 here to make sure I got some stable stuff, but perhaps it is an idea to upgrade?
